Full description
Spend 3 days enjoying the wonders of the White Mountains on this 2 night, self-guided camping experience. All hikes on this trip include custom digital maps that allow you to follow your progress on a mobile device. Your trip begins after you pick up your camping gear rental from a convenient self-serve locker kiosk. With your gear in tow, you'll continue towards Lincoln where you'll find the campsite you'll be staying at. after checking in, either spend your time relaxing at your campsite, or select from a provided list of smaller adventures to enjoy. When morning comes, it's time to choose between 2 hiking trails. The first trail is a smaller mountain summit on the south end of Franconia Notch. It is roughly 3 miles round trip, with a steady but reasonable incline, leading to views as far as the eye can see from a rocky summit. The second trail option is a generally flat trail along a rushing river that leads to a waterfall and swimming hole. It is 6 miles round trip and is easy in difficulty. In the afternoon, choose to relax by your campsite, or choose from a list of provided activities. The last day of this adventure features another choice of trails. Your first option is a hike to a beautiful mountain lake, resting in between the summits of two of New Hampshire's 48 peaks above 4,000 feet. The trail is a little steep, but the incredible views at the top are worth it. It is roughly a 3-mile round trip hike. Your second option is a beautiful drive to a lesser-known part of the White Mountains, where a stream-side trail leading to a waterfall and swimming hole awaits. Your camping gear will be returned to the same locker that you picked it up from at the start of the trip in Plymouth.
