Plettenberg Bay: Swim with Seals

Get ready for an adrenaline-filled adventure! Once you arrive, you are covered with all equipment, get a safety briefing and important information. The boat ride to and from the snorkeling spot was an adventure in itself as the waves were quite high that day (a few people got seasick, so you might want to take some medicine beforehand if you are senstive to that). The encounter with the seals was really special. The guides make sure you are not disturbing them in their habitat and 'only come by for a visit'. As long as you respect the rules, everything should go smoothly. Our guide Angelo was amazing! He made sure everyone was safe the entire time. After all you are out in the open sea and close to wild animals - encounters like that can always go either way and cannot be planned. I loved it! Also the pictures and videos Angelo took are so much fun as well!

Amazing experience with seals swimming all around you and under you. The guides are very helpful and always make sure everyone is safe and ok. The boat launch is also fun but can be a bit bumpy as the boat goes at some speed but we found this to add to the excitement of the trip. Guide also has a go pro and takes plenty of photos for you which you can get from a Google drive after the trip
