Thank you Lily for a really nice afternoon exploring part of Paris that took in such sights as the Eiffel Tower, Arch de Triumph, The Old Jewish Quarter, Notre Dame and other extra sights and information too numerous to mention. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to be our guide-4 stars
Meet your expert English-speaking guide and join your fellow travelers to start your walking tour of the artistic Montmartre district by the iconic Moulin Rouge cabaret theater, where Toulouse-Lautrec drew some of the most famous pictures of the nightlife of Paris. Begin your relaxing journey through the winding streets to arrive at Cafe des 2 Moulins, featured in the popular movie Amelie. Wonderful, personable, witty and knowledgeable Guide that made the Whole Experience in Montmartre come alive. It was well worth the time and money! You will be pleased with this tour. Little bit of hill walking, many tasty stops and interesting information about the way these foods are part of French Life in Paris. There were only 2 glasses of wine, plenty of meats and cheeses in a sit down restaurant. All others were on the go - it was pleasant. Food items were arranged ahead of time, so we never had to wait. The CIty was crawling with tourists because there was a Marathon in town this weekend - but we were well taken care of and never lost in the crowds.
This was the second time I did a walking tour of Montmartre, and this one was by far the BEST! Dawie was our guide and he was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! He was so knowledgeable, yet down to Eart and funny! He made my friends and Lee really comfortable and we enjoyed every minute. There were so many interesting facts that we had never heard before and we loved it. I highly, highly recommend this to work or any tour led by Dawie!
Amelie was wonderful. Monmartre was a picturesque quaint small town hidden in Paris! Just be prepared to WALK! The town is all uphill, but Amelie broke up the hill by stopping at several different chocolateries, boulangeries, and patisseries for treats!
First time we did foody tour to get to know an area in a city. Great way to get to know area, it's history and it's culture and enjoy some nice food and drinks with it as well as you are walking around.
