Full description
Climb up the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa with this convenient timed entrance ticket. Skip the long lines at the ticket office and go directly to the tower at your reserved time slot for a stress-free visit to the Leaning Tower, located in Piazza del Duomo next to the 11th-century Cathedral and the Baptistery. Walk past the notoriously long queues and admire both the tower and the cathedral at your own pace. The Tower is the third oldest structure in Piazza del Duomo after the cathedral and the baptistery. The construction of the tower started in 1172 and took place in three stages over a span of 199 years. In 1987, the tower was declared part of the Piazza del Duomo UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the neighboring cathedral, baptistery, and cemetery.

We arrived at the designated time. There was a very short line of people waiting. at the Tower. We went in and climbed up without meeting very many other people on their way down. We had a great visit at the top of the Tower and very much enjoyed speaking with the friendly, knowledgeable attendant about the various architects of the Tower and other interesting facts. We also enjoyed our visit to the cathedral. To us, the extra 6 euros were worth it to save waiting in two different lines.

The only issue I had is that it said "no charge" for under 8 when it should have said "not allowed" so my 7 year old daughter was not able to go and felt very sad and left out. It would have been different if we had known from the beginning she could not go in the tower. So my husband also did not go because he stayed with her. It states this policy on the ticket AFTER you buy it. I didn't read the ticket before going in, guess that will change now! This is the 2nd time I have had issues with "get your guide". I used it on accident this time, will make sure never to use it again!

    Amazing

The reserve entrance tickets are the way to go if you want to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Make sure to be on time, you have to be at the cloakroom to drop off your backpack no earlier than 15 minutes before your schedule time, and you CANNOT be late. If you are 15 minutes late past your schedule time you will loose your tickets (we saw many people arriving late and being refused entry). Then there is only a small group of people allowed to climb the tower, so it is wonderful because it's not crowded and you can stay at the top as long as you want. The view is amazing, and you can really feel the tower leaning when you climb. Once in a lifetime experience !
