Phang Nga Bay: Full-Day Kayaking Tour by Boat from Phuket

Hotel transfer to boat no issues. Very easy. Large boat between islands perfect for the trip. Loads of space due to small group. Plenty of refreshments to hand and could have as much as u liked. Beer was a small cost of 100 Thai baht a can. First island had a small beach which after a while got very crowded due to other boats arriving. No real issue for our party as u could take the canoes out on your own to escape the crowds. Sea cave canoe tour was excellent. Tommy our canoe guide was excellent. Taking us to the best spots and stopping in locations to allow for photos. He was very informative throughout the trip. Buffet lunch was excellent. Rice/noodles, chicken, spring rolls to name but a few. Very tasty and once again very plentiful. Nice stop at James Bond island however as expected island was very busy. A 30 minute stop here was plenty. Overall this was a great day out and we highly recommend this trip.

I was worried when I booked this trip as I was taking my 6 month old baby with me. I was worried about the heat, lack of shade, access in and out of the boat, access to cold drinks and pushy sales techniques for extras. I didn’t need to worry on any of those fronts. The guides were lovely with my son - and although not a complete breeze - getting in and out of the kayaks was fine. I had my son in a baby carrier the whole time and he loved it. When we were in the sun it was never for too long and there were free drinks and snacks all day long. Then ice lollies and cold towels when we got back. This was an extremely well organised trip and despite having a 6 month old, there wasn’t a single point in which I was worried about his welfare. I would thoroughly recommend this trip even if you have small children. Just go prepared and you’ll have a great time.

Pick up was on time and was in a minibus so only 2 stops at other hotels before trip of 1-1.5hrs from Kata. Boat was comfortable and not overcrowded, about 50 people approx. in total. Constant supply of soft drinks and lunch/snacks were varied and plentiful, all free of charge. The crew were great, spoke good English and really made the trip with their humour and friendly nature. You are assigned one crew member as your kayak guide for the day which is nice as you get to know them better and they look out for you. The cave/lagoon trips were the highlight and nothing I’ve experienced before. The itinerary was a different order than advertised but this was explained straight away by the guides and was due to the high tides in the morning, this meant we did the swimming/kayaking by ourselves first instead but that meant our tour got the Island to ourselves so it was a bonus. One of the best tours we’ve done and highly recommended.
