Full description
Take a trip to one of the 7 wonders of the natural world on this day tour of the Grand Canyon National Park. You will be collected from selected hotels or apartment in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, or Mesa Arizona. The journey to the Cameron Trading Post takes you through amazing views of the Saguaro Cactus in the Sonoran Desert. You will travel through the Ponderosa Pine Forests of Flagstaff where the Lowell Observatory is located. It was in this very observatory that the planet Pluto was first discovered. Also, one of the most famous roads in America, the Route 66, runs straight through Flagstaff. The first stop is at the Cameron Trading Post in Navajo Nation. This was established in 1916 as a gallery and showplace for Native American art. Here you can see handicrafts made by 7 southwestern tribes, and browse through thousands of objects and drawings. There is also a shop where you can purchase souvenirs. In the afternoon you will be taken to the Grand Canyon National Park.  Stop for pictures of the Red Rocks of Sedona. Make several stops along the South Rim for picture taking and enjoying the incredible views. See the El Tovar Lodge, a former Harvey hotel. You will have the afternoon to explore the sublime park and see many of its ecological wonders and natural beauty. Your professional guide will be able to inform you of the history and stories behind this ancient wonder.

I HIGHLY recommend this tour. My son and I had already done 2 days “on our own”, and within the first 15 minutes I knew more about Arizona than I had learned in 48 hours. Eric was AMAZING. His knowledge of Arizona history, vegetation, culture, folklore, traditions - just to name a few, was invaluable! This is a MUST DO especially if you can get Eric as your driver/guide/expert.
