What to Expect
Day 01: Siem Reap arrival
Upon arrival Seim Reap, Cambodia you will be met by your professional tour guide and transfer to the hotel for checking in. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 02: Siem Reap Angkor Temples tour (B/D)
After breakfast in the hotel, we will start our first visit to Angkor Complex:Angkor Thom, the fortified city of Angkor Thom covers an area of 10 square km. Enter by the monumentalSouth Gateover a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. We well stop at the famousBayon templeand continue to theTerrace of the Elephantsand theterrace of the Leper Kings, then toTa Phrom- It has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archaeologists to demonstrate the awesome power of nature.
In the afternoon we continue toAngkor Wat– is the largest and most impressive of all the temples and also the 7thwonder of the world. Then we will enjoy viewing thesunset from Phnom Bakheng. Dinner with Apsara Dance Show and overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 03: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B/L)
Today we will visit toBanteay Sreiis considered to be the jewel of classical Khmer art. This temple is often a favorite with visitors. VisitBanteay Samre.Banteay Samreis a mid-12th century temple dedicated to the god Vishnu. Lunch in local restaurant.
In the afternoon we visit toPre Rup,East Mebon,Ta Som, Neak PeanandPreah Khan.Pre Rup is a temple-mountain symbolising the Mount Meru, close in style to the East Mebon but higher and artistically superior than its predecessor. Transfer to airport for flight to Phnom Penh. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 04: Phnom Penh City Tour (B/L)
This morning we visit to theRoyal Palace and Silver Pagoda: the Royal Palace compound build in 1866 by the Predecessors of King Norodom, is the most conspicuous feature and also one of impressive colorful Khmer-style Palaces. Nearside the Royal Palace is Silver Pagoda (The Emerald Buddha temple), display plenty of Buddha Statues that were decorated and made by diamond, emerald, gold and silver. Then we continue toNational Museumand continue toWat Phnom- the birthplace of the capital. Lunch in local restaurant.
In the afternoon we visit toThe Choeung Ek Killing Field– where the Khmer Rouge regime executed about 17,000 people between 1975 and 1979. And continue toToul Slengwas a high school, When the Khmer Rouge came to power it was converted into the S-21 prison. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 05: Phnom Penh – Departure (B)
After breakfast, free till the time to transfer to airport for departure flight.
