What People Are Saying About Philadelphia

A great way to be introduced to the markets!

Nina our tour guide was very informative and made the trip really interesting and i loved the free tastings too

Perrfect way to tour the city and get the local flavor

Marvrllous experience! The Segway training really makes you comfortable using those things, which turn out to be a lot of fun. The guide was great - showed local landmarks and tips and trivia about the area. And, of course, the Philly cheese steaks were great - really interesting to compare the nuances in mode of preparation - meat and onion cut, etc. Pat's pickles were great but I like the Gino's cheese steaks the best.

Chinatown Culture and Cuisine was wonderfully engaging!

I took the "Free Tours By Foot" tour of Chinatown in Philadelphia. Not knowing much about the community but a little bit about Chinese/ Asian cultures, I was excited to see a community of the city that I was not familiar with. The tour was on a Sunday afternoon. Despite of the chilly weather, fun seemed to be had by all! Our tourguide, Jenn, was knowledgeable in both the history of Chinatown and Asian cultures/customs that were manifested in the art and shops of the community. I enjoyed our visit to the underground grocery (didn't even notice the entrance!) and the many yummy samples of food, including Dim Sum at the end. While some of the buildings were closed because it was Sunday (noodle and Fortune cookie shop) we observed a ceremony blessing the various businesses of Chinatown with dancing dragons and hypnotic drumbeats. They almost ran us over at one point when observing the Friendship Gate. What a great way to get an up-close, unique encounter in Chinatown! :)
