    Begin with a pickup from your accommodation in Amman and head off on the 225-kilometer journey to the ancient city of Petra. Upon arrival, take a stroll through Al-Siq, a narrow and deep pathway that acts as the main entrance into Petra.

    Inside, admire the Al-Khazneh, where elegant remains of antiquity can be found carved deep into the rocks. See the monastery, Altar of Sacrifice, Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, and more. After soaking up all the sights, continue the tour towards Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon.

    Next, head to Wadi Rum, the filming location of blockbuster movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and The Martian. Allow yourself to be transported into this other-worldly landscape. Embark on an adventurous 4x4 safari ride through the desert and visit several sites including Nabatean Temple.

    Later, stop at a picturesque Bedouin for a refreshing cup of Arabic tea or coffee and the opportunity to mingle with the locals. Finally, gaze upon a breathtaking sunset across the silky desert plains before beginning the return journey back to Amman.

    Excellent day trip to Petra and Wadi Rum. Our driver Mohammad who is fluent in English picked us up from the hotel at 7am promptly. We stopped for a break two hours into the journey at a rest house. Here your can eat good food and if you want shop for some beautifullly locally made products. Toilets are also available here. Then on to Petra. Here we spent 4 hours at Wadi Rum. It's spectacular. The driver waited for us picking us up at the drop off point. From here it's a 1 hour journey to Wadi Rum. Great experience with Yahya, a local who knows his way around the desert stopping at several points of interest. Yahya was very informative and fluent in English. It's a 2 hour drive in a 4 x 4. On return Mohammad picked us up for our 4 hour journey home. Both Mohammad and Yaha gave us a thoroughly wonderful day trip. Long but worth it.

    If you are short on time and want to experience both Petra and Wadi Rum then this is the tour for you. You don't have much time in Petra and Wadi Rum though. It was three hours in Petra, which is a bit hectic. In Wadi Rum about 2 hours. If I had wanted to visit the "Nabatean Temple" in Wadi Rum, I should have paid an additional 25 JOD. Of course, the promised sunset can't happen in June either. Important to know: in Wadi Rum you don't start from the visitor center, but rather in the middle and simply drive across. Both of my drivers were very nice and courteous. So overall good, but considering the price (EUR 340) not 5 out of 5, but more like 3 to 4 out of 5 stars.

    I went to Petra and Wadi Rum. Petra is extremely large. Giving me hours you need to take any opportunity do go by donkey etc. to see as much as possible. Wadi roo with a 4WD car and a perfect driver was one of my best desert experiencies I ever made.
