What People Are Saying About Petra

I have a fantastic travel experience and exceed my expectations .

The local company who provide the tour is Travco Travel Group in Jordan. In my own travel experience, Travco Travel Group tour company that their services exceed my expectations and made my whole travel experience a superb and a highlight of my tour that will last a lifetime. I am very satisfied of the service that is rendered to me. My guide Ma'moun Farajat made my tour extremely fun and joyfully explain everything in details to me. And also very knowledgeable and very welcoming which make my whole travel experience so much fun and informative. My guide is so kind and offer to take a picture of me which I appreciate a lot. I felt safe traveling alone in Amman to see the PETRA. I highly recommend this company to my fellow travelers. I am a solo traveler and tour the Petra on 10-12-16. In addition, you can ride a mule all the way to reach the monastery which is the experience of a lifetime. So, enjoy your trip and have fun.

From Amman: Full-Day Tour to Petra Reviewed by Jane, 10/31/2016

The 2 days Petra tour is a must, day tours not enough!

We got picked up from our hotel on time in an a/c van as described. The border crossing took just over an hour with no issues. The first day tour was very informative. Mohamed our guide, gave us correct and informed details I.e how long it takes to walk from place to place. He helped us better plan our second day at Petra. The lunch was at around 345pm and was a buffet lunch. So there was plenty to eat. We were dropped off at the 3 star hotel. It was perfect for our needs and was clean. On the second day, we took the earliest shuttle at 7am to Petra. We had over 6 hours to explore on our own starting from the monastery then onwards to the high place. It is a lot of hiking so I recommend lots of water and snacks, which you can buy before you pass the Siq or even within the site. There are also clean loos along the main path inside the ancient city. Our guide picked us up again at the time he told us he would. And the border crossing back to Israel was very smooth.
