On our Freemantle Urban Adventure you will visit the historic Fremantle Port. Famous for being a gateway to migrants and an area of crime, your guide will tell you some hair-raising stories of its past.
What to Expect
On this Fremantle sightseeing tour, we head to the city of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia.
In the late 1890s, Fremantle developed into the major port for Western Australia to service Perth and its surrounding areas. It also opened up a gateway to the world. Many people coming to live in Australia landed in Fremantle harbor. Years later it became a submarine base.
Our Fremantle tour starts at the “Roundhouse” at 10:00h. It is a walking tour that will take approximately 2 hours and cover 3km over flat land.
Your guide will take you on an exploration of the port city, pointing out landmarks and sharing intriguing stories from Fremantle’s settlement, from the poor treatment of Aboriginals through to the many jail breaks.
