You will start your adventure at the black sandy beach of Perivolos, before cycling through ancient paths and trails that used to connect the old traditional villages that see far fewer tourists than other parts of the island. You will visit the old traditional maze village of Emporeio, and take a short tour inside the village with a refreshing freshly squeezed orange juice from the small local café. You will then continue your ride to the famous cliff view of Caldera, where you will visit a small chapel built inside a cave of volcanic ash. Afterwards, you will take a 10 minute bike ride to the picturesque village of Megalochori, where you will visit the beautiful balcony restaurant "Feggera". Here you will be able to taste a famous local white wine, as well as some other local products. Later, you will cycle back to the black sandy beach of Perivolos, overpassing Vlichada Port. The tour starts late in the morning by picking you up from your hotel. After a short drive the small group will reach the traditional village of Megalochori and you will have the opportunity to visit the famous "symposion by la ponta" an amazing workshop of traditional Greek music instruments full of information about Greek mythology and music. Continue to Emporio village, stroll around the small picturesque streets and see the best preserved Venetian castle which used to be the medieval trade center of the island. Leaving Emporio you will have some free time to relax and enjoy a lazy break at the most famous black sandy beach of the island at Perivolos, where you can swim or even have lunch, tasting the local flavors. Later, the group will drive around the castle of Akrotiri and will have a short photo stop to enjoy the view of the castle the amazing caldera from the south part of the island. Afterward you will visit the village of Pyrgos which is built on the top of a hill, you will walk to the top where the Venetian castle overlooks the caldera and get a panoramic view of the island. After the walk to the castle you will relax in an old canava and taste local wines. Amazing day in Santorini. Well organised, everything is taken care of so you can relax and enjoy the views. The boat trip is really comfortable and the tour guides explain everything. Plenty of opportunities for superb photos. Skip the recommended restaurants and walk further along for quieter restaurants with equally amazing views. Take cash for drinks and snacks on the boat and a charging pack so you can take loads of photos without the worry of running low on battery. This is a once in a lifetime trip that you will not regret.

The guide was very knowledgeable and told lots of stories about the island. Santorini is a great place for just relaxing on the beach, but if you want to soak in more than just the sun, this tour is perfect for getting to know the area.
