Many of the places we wanted to visit were covered by the pass, so had been paid for in advance. It was good not to have to queue. The guide proved to be invaluable, being a handy size to carry with us throughout our holiday. Mentioning Tram 7 from Kievskaya Metro Station to Sparrow Hills would be helpful, to avoid a long and confusing walk, since there are insufficient signposts in Moscow.
I found the World War II Museum very interesting and the whole experience was made even better by my professional tour guide, Sergey. Unfortunately we spent limited time on the Victory Park which was also nice to see; had the weather been better (warmer and without snow) the tour on the Victory Park would have been an even better experience.
This is a hotel pickup and travel by metro tour. Traffic in Moscow is busy so this worked out well. In winter the outdoors was snowed out so the gun/tank displays were closed. However the indoor section was comprehensive. School students were performing commemorative services. Russia takes the Great Patriotic War very seriously.
I had Vlad as my private guide and it was really interesting to learn about Moscow from him! The car was comfortable and clean! Traffic was very bad and it was a bit disappointing, but we still managed to see major sights. Definitely recommended!
Had a little trouble finding the ticket office in GUM, it is actually in line 3 but not at the fountain, it is further down the hall. Just a phone call & we found it. We got our tickets & started to enjoy Moscow. Well worth it!!!
