Full description
Join your guide for a fascinating walking tour of the charming and historical Ile de la Cite. Start your tour on the Left Bank in the Latin Quarter and pass by the famed bookstore, Shakespeare & Company, a gathering place for the literary legends of the 'Lost Generation'.   Then, see the imposing gothic structure of Notre Dame Cathedral. Built in the 13th century, this magnificent edifice has recently survived a devastating fire, yet she is still standing proudly as the symbol of the city. Learn of her incredible construction and watch history unfold before you, as she readies herself to stand tall for another eight centuries.   Next, enjoy a short stroll through the charming flower market to Sainte Chapelle. Built in the 13th century by King Saint Louis, 80% of the walls are covered by remarkable colored glass windows. Your last visit is to the Conciergerie, built as a medieval palace, but most famous as the prison and last home of Queen Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution.

Guided tour by Quentin in perfect English. We are French but we wanted to take a visit in English, just to improve the language. Very good organization, because despite our small delay of a few minutes, the guide contacted us and guided us to the place of departure of the visit. We were able to benefit from the experience and enthusiasm of Quentin, who answered all our questions and listened to us. Thank you

Helpful in many ways

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the city and had done his research well. A bit more time actually seeing the church in the buildings might have been helpful as we sat and talked a lot (had excellent reference photos) he was very good to an ailing member of the group (though not so quick to find her a bathroom:( He also helped me find a place I was looking for and made a great restaurant recommendation based on personal experience. He was sincere in his interest in history and sharing his great knowledge (not bored with material). thank you very much.

gentle Paris rain

Our guide gave us a complete, very informative and comfortable tour. The St. Chapelle windows were amazing. Wow! We enjoyed the walking, even in off and on rain. Our guy was knowledgeable and careful to keep us together so we heard everything he said. The company called us when we did not show up at the correct meeting point (we were at the wrong place) and guided us by cell phone to meet our guide.
