Full description
Your 3-hour bike tour starts in front the City Hall. On this small-group guided tour, enjoy a leisurely bike ride through Paris historical neighborhoods. Your experienced local guide will show you nooks and crannies of the old Paris as well as explaining you the anecdotes behind the great history. Starting on the city island, head toward St Louis island, mostly unchanged since the 17th century. Crossing the Seine River, enter the medieval Marais, famous for its Jewish and gay neighbourhoods. From middle-aged houses through trendy corners, reach the first ever Kings Square and its magnificent buildings. Continuing through the Bastille square, demystify its legendary prison and the famous Bastille day. Escape from city traffic and stroll along the bike-friendly path that lines the Seine River and get ready for a nice drink stop along the water. Then, its time to discover the left bank. From the world's oldest company, which is 1154 years old, head towards the literary Saint Germain des Prés and meet Parisians preferred cafés and art galleries. Odéon and Luxembourg will show you how the kings, queens, revolutionaries and Napoléon mixed in a ballet that ended in blood. After resting in the left bankers preferred garden, you will finally reach the Sorbonne University and the Latin Quarter with its antic roman empire ruins mixed with the most dangerous middle-aged back streets. Joining this tour at the beginning of your vacation allows you to see a lot of the city and determine where you want to go back too.

Meeting point

The meeting point is 7 Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, 75004 Paris. This is at the City Hall square. The square is very large and therefore it's recommend to carefully check the address on Google maps first to ensure you arrive at the exact location. Your guide will wait for you at the lift entrance leading to the underground parking where the local partner's bikes are stored. Your guide will be holding a red umbrella. Traffic jams can be signifcant in Paris. Metro is the safest way to get to the meeting point on time. You can also download the free app Citymapper to give you an estimated time for arrival by all means of transportation. The metro station name is "Hôtel de Ville" on lines 1 and 11. Once you have arrived, take exit N°4 called "Avenue Victoria" and the parking elevator is 20 meters in front of you.

We had a great time on the tour with Cedric who was a fantastic guide. It was my first time riding with a child on my back (even though I have been a parent for 16 years) and I had my 2 younger children with me and Cedric was wonderful at adapting the tour to suit us and our situation. He was a wealth of knowledge about Paris and we enjoyed the tour with him.

And especially the stories about the places were good. Also, that you have not visited the "hotspots" such as Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur, but actually angles of the city that you would not have found on your own. Julien was a great guide, personable, witty and eloquent. We would always book a tour again.

Our guide was very friendly and illustrated the history of France with small anecdotes. It was really exciting. The tour was very pleasant, without much traffic and we discovered small picturesque corners ... We were only 4 participants plus the guide ... in short a successful excursion, we did not see the time pass. To recommend highly.
