Full description
Meet your experienced driver-guide at your Paris hotel for a journey through the history of World War II. Travel to the Beach of Normandy aboard a deluxe air-conditioned minibus. First, visit Pointe du Hoc, one of the strong points of the German fortifications, taken by storm on the morning of June 6, 1944. Then, see Batterie de Longues, the only German gun battery to keep its guns intact. Overlooking Omaha Beach, stop at the American Cemetery, which contains over 9,000 white crosses perfectly aligned on 170 acres. A chapel and memorial add the finishing touches to this moving scene. After paying your respects at these famous WWII locations, return to your hotel in Paris.

Great small group tour.

This tour was amazing! Very personal and small group, only 5 people including myself which was awesome. Location easy to find. If you can aim to go on a Saturday as the Paris traffic is almost nonexistent on the way there and not bad on the way back, leaving you with more time at each site.

The guide was exceptional.

My wife and I joined 5 other travelers (English speaking) for this historical, moving experience. Though the trip took 14 hours not a minute was wasted. Everything in the advertisement was covered, the guide was an art history major and explained in great detail the liberation of Normandy. I’m so glad we used the app.

Very interesting

We enjoyed the trip, everything worked out well. It would be perfect if they'd let us know in advance that the minibus isn't a minibus but rather a minivan with three 3-seat rows. Which is pretty uncomfortable. I was seated next to 2 men and pressed against the window, and I had to get off whenever someone from the last row wanted to get off. That's not fun when you're riding for 500 km, it would have been more comfortable to have gone on a bus. Maybe you could update the ad for this tour and correctly inform the participants. Otherwise everything was ok.
