What to Expect
Discover the stunning beauty of the Loire Valley by bike on a full-day tour from Paris, transferring from the city center by train.
Meet your guide at Gare Austerlitz for the train ride to Blois, located on the banks of the lower River Loire between Orléans and Tours. After a morning snack of croissants, cycle to Château de Blois, a Renaissance château in the city center that was the former residence of several French kings. Go to the open-air market to puchase picnic foods (at your own expense) to enjoy later.
Continue along the bike trails that lead to the Château de Chambord, one of the area’s most beautiful monuments. Enjoy a picnic in the park, before exploring the former hunting lodge of Francis I. Learn the history of the château, including the time it was used to store treasures from the Louvre at the outbreak of World War II.
Make your way back to Blois following a series of bike trails that wind through the countryside. Catch the train back to Gare Austerlitz in central Paris for the end of the tour services.
