Upon arrival, we'll board a boat and sail along the Caño Hondo River towards San Lorenzo Bay, while looking out for tangles of red mangroves on the shore. In open water, we'll be able to spot rocky mogotes teeming with pelicans and fork-tailed flycatchers. The expedition continues to the Arena and Linea caves, which were once used by the Taíno indigenous people. Inside, we'll see these caves decorated with indigenous pictograms and petroglyphs. Our next stop will be the Caño Hondo Paradise Hotel, where we'll hop off the boat and see beautiful natural pools inside the hotel's grounds. You'll be able to have a refreshing dip in the Jivales River before having a traditional Dominican lunch, which we'll eat in this idyllic spot. With our energy back, we'll get into a jeep and head to the summit of Redonda mountain, which is nestled between two lagoons: Limón and Redonda. From the top, the views of the jungle will look like something out of a fairy tale. Finally, we'll return to the mainland and head back to Punta Cana, where we'll arrive at your hotel between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.
