Overall an amazing day and one not to miss if you visit Panama. Pick up from hotel was early but we stopped at a supermarket half way for food. Transport was in a 6 seater 4x4 and the roads are very bad with lots of potholes and hairraising bends. We arrived at a port and met our skipper. Facilities here are available but don’t expect much. Our first island we stopped at were received our fruit and a towel. Had either an hour or 2 hours on this paradise island. It was stunning. Next we picked up those that had paid extra to go on another island and we all stopped in the middle of the ocean for the most amazing experience swimming in a clear shallow area that was just magical. Next stop was the island we had lunch at and a chance to relax again and then it was back to shore. A magical day.
I would definitely book with this company again. we had a really good time. the tour was well organized and the company is doing great about communicating with the clients, all the way up to the day of the trip, they are very professional, and the employees are super nice and courteous, always with a smile. my only 2 negative comments are: 1. that more time could be spent on the first island which was nicer then Pelican island that can be skipped all together. and 2. if you have picky eaters in your party you're better pack snacks or sandwiches as lunch was just about edible for "good" eaters.
This tour was wonderful - Cesar, our guide, followed all safety protocols which made us feel at ease. Cesar gave us extensive history and facts on the Panama Canal, the Canal Zone, and other interesting tidbits on Panamanian history throughout the tour. He was also very knowledgeable about the different animal and plant species we encountered on the tour, and made sure our Monkey Island visit was memorable! We boated by different locales searching for different species, and he and our boat captain did a great job spotting different animals and giving us facts about each one.
people over 60, beware, you will have to jump in and out of a boat without a ladder or rail. Good sunscreen is a must. Road is bumpy and long. The Islands are Paradise, the people are very friendly, the tour was well organized, everything ran in time. We enjoyed it very much. Of course, some comments in English about history and customs would be nice.
After 2 hours in a Rollercoaster road you finally reach the port! We were not lucky and the weather was bad, so our trip wasn't so good because of the small boats. The guide was average, not speaking so good English but it was OK. Not a bad tour but not so good! Also the water was dirty, with cans and plastic!
