Rainforest Adventures will take you on a scenic boat ride along the Panama Canal. A short transfer will take you to the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal to board a small canal pleasure boat, and where you'll begin your partial canal transit.
What to Expect
On this 5-hour program you’ll be taken on a scenic boat ride along the Panama Canal. After a short transfer, you’ll arrive at the Pacific entrance of the canal, where you’ll board a small pleasure boat.
During the partial canal transit, you’ll traverse Miraflores Locks and Pedro Miguel Locks. Your vessel will be raised 85 feet above sea level!
Continuing at a leisurely pace, you will soon enter the Gaillard Cut, the narrowest section of the Panama Canal, bisecting the Continental Divide. The shipboard commentator will provide full details about the locks and the Panama Canal.
Your time aboard the vessel and in the canal will be around 3 hours depending on the number of other transiting vessels. You will disembark at Gamboa in the center of the Panama Canal, where a motor coaches will be waiting.
