Bangkok by Night Tuk Tuk Tour: Markets, Temples & Food

1. Bangkok by Night Tuk Tuk Tour: Markets, Temples & Food

Discover the beauty of Bangkok by night, and visit sites that most tourists only see during the daytime. On this 4-hour evening tour by tuk tuk you’ll take in some of Bangkok's most famous temples, including Wat Pho. Take a walk through local Bangkok night markets, such as the 24-hour flower market that comes to life as the night goes on. You may even be surprised with stops at places you’ve never heard of! While the temple buildings may be closed at night the grounds are often beautifully lit up at night and you will walk around two temples including the famous Wat Pho. You’ll also stop to sample some of the best food in the city, whether that be random snacks in a market, some of the city’s best noodles, or a mystery dessert stop. You certainly won’t go hungry, so there’s no need to eat beforehand! Vegetarian food options are available throughout the tour. During most of the tour you’ll get around by tuk tuk, and traveling at night should mean a lot less traffic and cooler temperatures than during the day.

Don’t miss out on visiting some of Bangkok’s most beautiful temples from Pattaya. This full-day tour of Bangkok’s most famous temples includes six unique sites you won’t see anywhere else. Start the day nice and early before heading to the first stop, the Bangkok Flower Market. Known locally as Pak Khlong Talat, it is the city's largest wholesale flower market and is open 24/7. See the colorful displays of flowers, before cruising across the river to the next stop: Wat Arun. Situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a Hindu temple named after the sun god Aruna. Spend some time here exploring and admiring the colorful spires that can be seen from most viewpoints in Bangkok.  Next stop is Wot Pho, a giant 46-meter long Buddha statue on its side. Besides housing hundreds of Buddha images, Wat Pho is also considered a leading school in Thai massage.  After wandering around Wat Pho, stop to buy lunch at a local restaurant, before heading to the Grand Palace. Once home to the Thai royal family and the seat of government, the Grand Palace still maintains many of its dazzling buildings and structures. Within the huge complex of the Grand Palace is Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for its Buddha statue made entirely from jade. The last stop is Wat Traimit or "Temple of the Golden Buddha". See the grand 5.5-ton golden statue of a seated Buddha and take in the beautiful white and gold facade, before making your way back to Pattaya.

Amazing way to explore Bangkok. The guides took us through traffic and small alleys and showed us many places. We got history from Bangkok and Thailand to the normal Thai. We felt safe biking in and out of traffic. Could have wished for better English, but they tried their best and explained as good as they could and we hope we understood the meaning of what they where saying on to us. All in all this was weighed up by their helpfulness and humour. We can strongly recommend this activity.

By far the best tour I have ever taken! Our guide, P, was nothing short of amazing. He made us feel so welcomed, was full of knowledge and took us to the best mixture of places. He explained to us why things are the way they are and really gave us a true look at a "Day In The Life" of a local. The food was also some of the best we've ever had! We would have paid double for the tour after taking it. The best value for your money!

The tour was great fun. We saw a lot of Bangkok. The bikes were very good too. Our guide is very personable, spoke good English and explained a lot to us on the way. The food in a local restaurant was delicious and the owners super friendly. The guide always paid attention to us. We felt very safe on the tour. All in all a very successful tour that we can definitely recommend.

Picturesque evening, weaving through traffic, rushing into tiny alleys .... The stopping points are well paced and informative. The guide is perfect and so are the TukTuk drivers. I highly recommend.

We were only 4 guests, Jib took great care of us and answered all questions. Driving the tuk tuk was fun. We felt well looked after at all times, greetings from Michael and Sabine
