Take off on a fun-filled balloon flight, leaving at sunrise, to enjoy a tranquil hour floating above the sights and attractions of the Orlando area.
What to Expect
These sunrise flights are scheduled seven days a week, 365 days a year, weather permitting. Meet one hour prior to sunrise and then travel to one of the many launch sites. Inflation takes about 20 minutes and then you are airborne!
The flight is approximately one hour and you will ascend to tree tops and beyond! Once you’re airborne your pilot will point out the spectacular sites of this area, from the theme parks to the Orange groves and forests, to swamps absolutely untouched for thousands of years.
On landing, a traditional champagne toast will celebrate your wonderful adventure. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available. You will then return to the Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration. The tour provider is fully licensed and insured. The pilots are all FAA certified, highly experienced and are full time professionals.
1. Where do the flights take place?
The flights are in the Disney area. They can take place anywhere from Disney to Highway 192 and Highway 27 depending on wind direction.
2. Where and when do you meet?
You meet approximately one hour before sunrise. This can be anywhere from 05:30 to 06:30 depending on the time of year. Meet at Orlando Balloon Rides Welcome Center located at the intersection of Interstate 4 and Highway 27. From Interstate 4 take Highway 27 (Exit 55) and go north. Stay in the left lane and take the very first left turn towards McDonalds and Wendy’s. The location is on the right hand side just past these restaurants.
The address is: 2400 Access Road, Davenport, Davenport, FL 33897-4504 (must use 9 digit zip code if using a GPS).
3. How long is the flight?
Most flights are about an hour. However they can be as short as 45 minutes or as long as 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on weather conditions and landing sites.
4. What should you wear?
Dress like you were going on a hike in the woods. Please do not wear open-toed shoes. It is not any cooler in the balloon than it is on the ground so you should dress for that particular day’s weather.
5. What can you bring along?
Feel free to bring along a camera or camcorder to record this once in a lifetime experience.
6. How high do you go?
You can go anywhere from treetops to several thousand feet. It depends on wind speed and direction.
7. Will you be affected if you suffer from motion sickness?
No. As the balloon moves with the wind, you will not have this sensation. A balloon flight is so calm, it is possible to set a glass of water on a table in a balloon and not spill a drop.
8. Are there any restrictions as to whom can fly?
Health restrictions are few and far between. Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions pregnant women or children under 4 cannot fly.
9. What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or postpone your flight you must give the tour provider 48 hours' notice. Once your booking is complete you will be able to contact the tour provider via phone to cancel your flight. If you do not give the tour provider sufficient notice or do not show for flight check-in, you will be charged for the flight.
If the tour provider needs to postpone a flight it will only be for your safety. The tour provider has a 100% safety record and if, in the opinion of the pilots, weather conditions are not suitable for safe flight operations, the tour provider will postpone your flight.
The tour provider will reschedule you at your earliest convenience. You should pick a day near the beginning of your stay so that you have back up days available.
