Begin your tour with a champagne reception with interesting information about the history and culture of the region. Enjoy a tour of the cellar labyrinth and admire the magnificent cathedral. Walk up the spiral staircase to the church tower, where you can enjoy the view of the Odenwald, the Taunus, and the Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region with the Frankfurt skyline.
You will then descend into the underworld to discover one of the largest charnel houses in Germany with more than 20,000 skeletons. In order to recover from the horror, you can then enjoy typical Rhine Hessian bread rolls with sausages and wine. Afterwards, you can enjoy a walk around the vineyard and reach the highest point of the town with castle ruins. Here you can find out why the castle was destroyed twice by the citizens.
