I’m not sure why the reviews in recent months were so overwhelmingly negative. Set your expectations right, it is a trip into rural Bolivia after all, and I believe the agency did its best to make us comfortable. Be prepared for bitterly cold (below 0 degrees C) nights with no hot water and no heating, and to pay 5 bolivianos every time you visit the toilet. Food was nutritionally balanced, and the quinoa was excellent. It was hardship, but as the guide described it, it was “worth the suffering”. The salt flats and the red lagoon were beautiful, and Isla Incahuasi was OUT OF THIS WORLD (think giant cacti growing on fossilised corals in the middle of a desert).

The tour is without a doubt the best way to discover the interior of Bolivia. Breathtaking landscapes that you will never forget! The two nights in the desert are very cold, do not forget thermal clothing and a good sleeping bag! The accommodations are very spartan, but this is also part of the charm of the tour.

Jesse was a fantastic guide over the 3 days while Edgar was a great driver. The tour was fantastic and contained so much. We were also very nervous about crossing the border into Chile after hearing some horror stories but they made it so easy.

Bismarck as our guide and Raul our driver were very competent. The food was very good and the nature on the tour was very beautiful.

Beautiful landscapes and great experiences. However, it was incredibly cold in the accommodations.
