  • Trapani: 2-Hour Salt Flats Tour

    1. Trapani: 2-Hour Salt Flats Tour

Nature and tradition come together on this 2-hour guided tour of the Trapani salt flats. Join a local guide who will explain the tradition of salt-making while exploring a family-owned salt pan. Enter the salt museum inside a renovated old mill to see the tools and even try some samples of flavored salt. Visit 3 different salt plans while keeping an eye out for flocks of flamingos. These migratory birds change color over time and have been known to make the flats their temporary home. At the end of the day, walk along the edge of the flats and admire the reflection of the afternoon sun in the salt pools. The tour ends with a return transfer to the meeting point.

Very interesting tour. Fun and informative. Great guide. Lovely to watch the sun set over the salt pans. Highly recommend.

  • Private Full-Day West Sicily & Wine Tour from Palermo

    2. Private Full-Day West Sicily & Wine Tour from Palermo

Travel from Palermo on a full-day private tour of 4 unique spots across West Sicily, along with a wine tasting. First head to Segesta, situated among gently sloping hills of yellow-ochre and ruddy brown. The town was probably founded by Elimians; under Greek sponsorship, it soon ranked among the leading towns of the Mediterranean basin. An ancient Doric temple still presides over the timeless landscape. Continue to Marsala Ettore Infersa, an area comprising the Salt Pans of Trapani, Paceco and Marsala and characterized by lagoons and marshes with shallow water. Visit the local salt museum, and then, after driving down a country road, stop in the area around Marsala at a famous winery. Here you will take a tour and taste three local wines on a charming Sicilian terrace. Finally, make your way to Erice, located on top of Mount Erice and overlooking the city of Trapani. Leonardo was a great guide. We loved the areas we were able to see. However, it became annoying that he was calling people on his phone the last half of the trip, especially when we were driving through curvy roads during a strong rain storm. We had one hour and two hour breaks in our schedule when he could have made these calls. It was unprofessional when we were paying clients for the entire tour.

Great day with Marco

The three of us had a great day with Marco and we learned so much from him. His knowledge of almost everything is very impressive. Segesta was closed to the public that day due to heavy rain, but none of us felt like we had missed anything. I would recommend this trip to everyone. It ticks so many boxes

Our guide, Alessio, was very good: he managed to tell us a lot of interesting things, adding funny jokes, which made everything very pleasant. We learned new things and we recommend the tour to both adults and children. Thanks again Alessio!

Fantastic experience discovering the production and properties of Salt. A journey into nature and history. Exceptional guide, very prepared and just as nice! Wonderful sunset over the salt flats. An unforgettable emotion.

Very interesting tour. Fun and informative. Great guide. Lovely to watch the sun set over the salt pans. Highly recommend.
