My guide Sergei Zubkov was extremely knowledgeable, patient & kind, and explained the history of both Veliky Novgorod & Russia at great length all through the trip. Would recommend this trip to history buffs & those who wish to visit the most ancient churches of Russia to gain a better understanding of the history of the country, especially its link with the ancient Viking conquerors & traders.
