From Brisbane: North Stradbroke Island Wildlife Adventure

Spend the day on North Stradbroke Island with a guide. Enjoy scenic walks, beautiful lakes, and relaxing beaches as you learn about the island's history, culture, and wildlife. On the way back to the mainland watch as the sun sets into the sea. Start your morning with a departure from Brisbane. After a 45-minute drive to the ferry port, have the chance to purchase breakfast at the port or on the ferry during the crossing. Arrive at North Stradbroke Island and deboard the ferry to head to your first stop, Brown Lake. On the way there your tour guide will talk about the island as well as the historic and cultural importance of the Quandamooka people. Refresh and reenergize with the fresh and beautiful water of the lake. From there and after a quick stop at Myora Springs, your guide will take you to the northwest side of the island, a perfect lookout spot to take pictures and go for a walk at Cylinder Beach. Then head for one of the main attractions of the day, the Gorge Walk. On this 40 - 45 minute walk, take in views of the Coral Sea and its incredibly rich marine life, from manta rays, turtles, to dolphins and more. After the Gorge Walk, take a break to have lunch at Point Lookout. Following your lunch break, the tour will head to Amity Point. Your tour guide will take you on a walk to search for koalas in the wild. Optionally, if koala-spotting is not your thing, spend even more time at the beach instead. Conclude your day with a ferry ride back to the mainland in time to watch the sunset from the sea. Your expected arrival time in Brisbane is about 7 PM.

What a day! We had Ivy as our guide who was absolutely fantastic, he has such a keen eye for spotting the wildlife on our tour. He found us dolphins, turtles, rays, osprey, kangaroo and koala! I was completely blown away with the amount of wildlife we saw. Even with the weather change at the beach he made a plan and we managed to avoid the worst of the weather. He is very knowledgeable on the island and the wildlife. He took time to get to know each family/group/individual, knew our names and asked questions about our trip so far, where we were from etc. it truly felt like he wanted to know and was interested in the answers. He was a fantastic guide/host for the day. It was a fabulous day and I would definitely go again!

Yesterday i spent a day that is literally unforgettable! The day trip was a last minute decision, I booked the tour the day before and there was only a spot left. The weather was perfect and i couldn’t stop saying “wow” for the wonderful landscapes i saw. We found only a koala and a kangaroo but at amity point we saw also 3 dolphins. The guide Rio explained us a lot of interesting facts about that land and also some historic information, he was amazing. We had also more than 2 hours free that we spent at cylinder beach and having lunch. I met a beautiful group of people and we shared our life experiences. An experience that i really recommend!

We had the best time in Brisbane! We got to see so many koalas and kangaroos, which made the experience even more special. The guide had such a wonderful attitude and was incredibly attentive. It couldn’t have been better! we absolutely loved every moment!

Excellent excursion! We thoroughly enjoyed North Stradbroke Island and our tour guide Rob was amazing. Gorgeous landscapes and we were able to spot kangaroos and koalas in the wild. Highly recommended.

Great trip! Rio is a very good and friendly guide.
