AMOUAGE/NIZWA/AL JABAL AKHDAR I was speechless! Very well organized and very accommodating. The Amouage factory was very stylish and you could watch the production. We continued on to Nizwa. The fortress was a great way to learn about Oman and its history. In the Nizwa souk you could buy various dates, Omani halva and many other delicacies as well as a large selection of handicrafts. A delicious traditional lunch followed. Then we drove on to the mountains with a breathtaking view of the plains. Then I was shown an irrigation and water aqueduct system listed by UNESCO! A perfect day with different temperatures, super informative and the various possibilities that the country offers. Ahmed has a very nice and personable personality who was available to answer all my questions and give me tips. 10/10 recommendation
Nizwa is definitely worth a trip! The souqs cannot be compared to Muscat. Here you can see more traditional crafts and fewer pushy traders. The landscape is very impressive, especially the drive into the mountains. Even though the time in the car is long, it is never boring. We were very lucky that we were alone with our guide Yaqoob. He provided us with excellent information, helpful tips in the souqs and food throughout the day. We also felt very comfortable on the drive into the mountains, just letting him drive us. Yaqoob is great!
The tour from start to finish was amazing. Our tour guide Hisham was very friendly, knowledgable, entertaining and enthusiastic. He was a very safe driver, he showed us some sights on the way to the tour, he was very knowledgeable and knew the history and background of Nizwa fort and castle. We throughly enjoyed our lunch which was included and he was very hospitable. We got to try different types of coffee and omani halwa and we truly had such a great experience. Thank you Hisham!

Not busy so felt very relaxed Guide obviously enjoyed his job which absolutely made all the difference. Should include the entrance fee for the fort
