Explore the farms and rice paddies of the countryside outside Nha Trang on this 8-hour sightseeing tour, and see small farming villages, water buffalo, fruit orchards, and Buddha statues. Savor the rustic cuisine, and see locals making traditional crafts.
What to Expect
Discover the green rice paddies, fruit orchards, and cattle and buffaloes at work on the outskirts of Nha Trang, Vietnam’s delightful coastal city on the South China Sea.
Following a pick-up from the port, head for the hills to meet locals in peaceful villages, where traditional crafts of pottery, using charcoal stove, sedge mat weaving, and rice paper steaming are still very much part of everyday life.
Learn about the lives of the villagers, and join them to try and weave a sedge mat! Watch how fish cakes, soy milk, and conical hats are made, and go to a house with a bonsai garden that is more than 180 years old to savor some local fruits and refresh yourself with a cup of green tea.
Then, after lunch by the banks of the Cai River, your guide will show you the historic parts of Nha Trang, a almost uninhabited rural landscape until the early 20th century and the arrival of French rule. End at the Long Son Pagoda, notable for its huge white Buddha statue, looking serenely over the city.
