If you love musicals like 1776, Hamilton, Gilbert and Sullivan, Showboat, Ragtime, and Titanic you will love this tour. Learn about the origins of New York city theatre history.
What to Expect
“All the world’s a stage!” Embrace your inner theatrical geek and join the professional licensed tour guide/actors who weave groups around New York’s bustling streets, brandishing their love of the stage and of the city along half-mile routes that cover the origins of musical theatre and Broadway history. Kids 10 and under can participate for free. You cannot go inside the backstage area of any Equity Broadway Theatre due to safety regulations so all visits to the theatres will be done outside. Each tour guide brings a tablet with photos and videos and will entertain you with backstage stories and personal stage experiences.
Meet where it all started downtown in the financial district and work your way through those original curvy Dutch paths all while visiting New York’s iconic locations such as the original Theatre Row, Southstreet Seaport (TKTS Booth), Titanic memorial park, The Bull, and more. Even a founding father would love this tour.
