Take a peek into New York's dark past on a 2.5-hour gangsters tour, and explore the hidden secrets of the city's most powerful mobsters. Wander the bustling districts of Little Italy, Chinatown and Five Points to uncover New York’s gangster stories.
What to Expect
Enter the dangerous world of the mobsters and mafia families of New York, immortalized in movies from “Goodfellas” to “The Gangs of New York,” and explore the darker side of Little Italy, Chinatown and Five Points.
Your guide will take you to places ruled by some of the most powerful gangs in the city. See where La Cosa Nostra wreaked havoc, and where mob members were gunned down in the streets. Learn of the demise of the last Don, John Gotti.
Go to Chinatown to hear how the infamous Tong gangs would rage war on each other. The battles were so violent that the streets became known as "Bloody Angle." Explore the underground tunnels, and hear stories of their fights.
Next, explore the Five Points area, captured in the book and blockbuster movie, “Gangs of New York.” Learn how the Irish that escaped the potato famine of the mid-19th century settled in New York’s most poverty stricken slum, leading to territorial wars, gang extortion, and flourishing houses of ill-repute and crime.
Visit famous mob haunts, and see where some of the "made men" got whacked - or just managed to escape the bullet! Pass movie site locations from famous mobster and gang movies, and stop for some delicious food (own expense).
