Join us aboard the Shearwater for a thrilling way to visit New York’s magnificent harbor. These 90-minute day sails offer the perfect opportunity to sit back and relax while you take in close-up views of the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island. Celebrate the intimate and spectacular beauty of the Statue of Liberty & Manhattan's skyline from the decks of a magnificent 82-foot Schooner. With sails unfurled, you will enjoy the casual elegance of a refreshing beverage served by our attentive crew as this ocean tested ship glides comfortably through world famous NY harbor. Shearwater is an 82-foot vintage 1920's schooner built at the height of the Roaring Twenties as the personal yacht of Charles E. Dunlap, a prominent New York City industrialist, back in a time when yachting was a rare combination of elegance and adventure. Shearwater was recognized as a national landmark in March 2009. Rangoon teak decks and mahogany paneled staterooms below are sure to impress even the seasoned yachtsmen.

The crew is nice and hard-working, but the drinks are expensive on board (can of beer $ 8 / wine in a mug for $ 10). I actually thought a drink was included but maybe I read that wrong. Seats are okay but not overly comfortable. The tour is still entertaining and you can get close to the Statue of Liberty. All in all a nice experience and the port is easy to reach. Definitely a MUST for sailboat fans!

New York from a completely different perspective. I liked it

Would have liked it if the guides had not only been concerned with themselves, but also given a few sentences about the attraction on the left and right. Not that you don't know things, but that would have made the whole thing a bit more personal. There was also no free drink

Nice trip

A trip that is highly recommended when the weather is nice. A nice boat with a nice crew. The boat only allows a limited number of passengers, which in contrast to the larger boats / ferry makes it quite exclusive. However, it should be mentioned that not all existing drinks are included as an inclusive drink. Corona as a beer doesn't seem to be one of them ?!
