Full description
Begin your experience by departing from Battery Park, Manhattan or Liberty State Park, New Jersey. Battery Park is easily accessible via subway, located in Lower Manhattan. Liberty State Park is easily accessible via car, located in Jersey City, NJ. Once you arrive at the meeting point, enjoy priority line access with your pre-purchased ticket. Board the ferry and see the impressive views of Lady Liberty and the NYC skyline. Take note of the ferry's return times to plan your day. Your ticket gives you access to explore two attractions: Liberty Island (with the Statue of Liberty) and Ellis Island. The itinerary depends on your departure location. From Manhattan, your first stop will be Liberty Island. On arrival, pick up your multilingual audio guide to start exploring the history of the Statue of Liberty. Children also have the opportunity to enjoy a special narration of this self-guided tour. Wander around at your own pace and spend extra time at the spots you find most interesting. If you selected a ticket with ‘pedestal access’, you can also visit the Statue of Liberty pedestal. Climb the steps or take the elevator to the top of the pedestal and see the inner skeletal structure of the statue. Once you're ready to discover Ellis Island, drop off your audio guide and return to the ferry. Board the ferry towards New Jersey to head towards Ellis Island. After you arrive, head into the museum to pick up your multilingual audio guide. For over 62 years, Ellis Island was America’s busiest immigration station. Millions of people from all around the globe passed through here looking for a new beginning and a new life for their families in America. With access to the American Family Immigration History Center's records, you can search all ship manifests that came through Ellis Island. Use this unique experience to research your family history. When you are finished, return to the ferry and return to your original departure point. Very great experience to explore Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The ferry will come every 20 minutes so that you don’t need to worry and you have flexible time to leave whenever you are ready. For going inside the museum and liberty pedestal/crown area, you have to storage your backpack at the locker by using one coin of quarter dollar.

Lots of queuing for this activity but well worth it. Our ticket was without pedestal access however we were given pedestal access tickets which was a bonus! Really enjoyed this trip. On liberty island there is a large cafe which sells burgers and pizzas etc and not too badly priced! I would recommend this activity

Easy to find guide. Well worth buying tickets in advance as the queues to buy tickets itself at Battery Park were unbelievably long. Made the day so much more pleasant than having to wait a long time in a queue. Was a lot of walking when we reached the Statue of Liberty island and Ellis Island, so it was lovely to have a smooth passage to get on the ferry.
