Absolutely a “must do” especially if you are visiting NOLA for the very first time! Do yourself a favor and make this a priority as it will give you great ideas on places to visit and see. Our tour guide Shawn was awesome, very informative and entertaining! Couldn’t have a asked for better guide. Unfortunately, I booked this tour on the very last day of our vacation so it leaves me with wanting to come back as now I am realizing everything that I have missed and didn’t get to see.

While sitting in a cool seat I enjoyed seeing and learning about the City of New Orleans. The guide has 7 generations that have lived here. We covered every part of New Orleans learning all about this area. She told us many stories about Hurricane Katrina. We stopped in the city park and enjoyed coffe and binet. We stopped at a grave yard and learned about the Barisal process. Very interesting.

Our family of three took the New Orleans City Bus Tour. We took it early in our trip because I thought it may give us more ideas for the remainder of our time in town. Couldn't have been more right. We were picked up at our hotel and began the tour at Jackson Square. Our guide DJ was welcoming, casual, professional and highly knowledgeable. Over the course of the next two hours he offered insight, context and recommendations to various parts of town while keeping things fun. We saw multiple areas we wanted to go back to that weren't on our radar prior to the trip. Those areas ended up being the itinerary for the remainder of the trip. I was very interested in food recommendations of which DJ had plenty. He was so informative that I scrapped plans for a culinary tour that I was looking at. To use his own words, no one knows food and drink in this town better than him. I can't say enough about how good an idea it is to take this tour.
