The whole experience was an absolute JOY & one of the best things I have ever done! It's a FUN setting with a very informed instructor who spoke in a colorful & humorous way. I learned so much about the history of New Orleans, along with important information about the food & food preparation, & then we ate generous portions of the DELICIOUS, fresh home-cooked food! We had enjoyable interaction with the other guests at our table & I even made a new friend! There's also a great general store connected to the school where one can shop for wonderful items and gifts. I feel confident in attempting the recipes (which they give us) at home. This was a GREAT value & I HIGHLY recommend this!
I was very impressed by the chef and how well he handled the number of people in the class on that day. The food was as good or better than the top restaurants in New Orleans. The class started and ended on time, everyone had a full meal with soup, entre, dessert and a praline. The Chef’s skill and personality was very entertaining. Wish I could remember his name.
We had a fantastic morning! Pat was an entertaining and knowledgeable chef. She gave us an insight into the history of food in New Orleans and showed us how to cook some very tasty dishes. I've brought the recipes and spices back from holiday and am looking forward to cooking the dishes.
we had a cooking class with a super funny and great chef, who prepared 3 dishes for us, and explained everything there is to know of the culture through the food. The meal was delicious and it was a very interesting and enjoyable experience.
Harriet was a wonderful mix of humor, advice, folklore, history and cooking tips! We had so much fun watching her cook and then enjoying the wonderful gumbo, jambalaya and pralines that she made. I can't wait to try the recipes she gave us !
