Driver was knowledgeable about the New Orleans area and made the drive out to the swamp and plantation enjoyable and fast. The swamp boat ride was great. Captain Tom shared a lot of information about the Bayou and allowed us to hold a small alligator at the end. The Oak Alley Plantation grounds was beautiful. The tour guides on premises were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would suggest touring the home first then navigate the grounds as the time there does go by fast. Overall, great experience!
They allowed me to propose during the ride and the manager that night even helped to capture the special moment. We are grateful for the extra accommodation. She said YES! The food onboard was amazing, and the band, who played a perfect rendition of happy birthday as a distraction, were the best we have heard so far into our forever. THANK YOU for our incredible memory!
It was an over all nice experience. Most of the staff were very friendly. Docking was very fast easy (on and off). Not exactly sure of the name of the band that played but they were really good! The food was ok. Not many vegetarian choices which sucked because my husband and I are both vegetarian. An overall great experience and I’m sure we will do again in the future!
Ok. We’ve been in New Orleans for about a week now and we have taken all kinds of tours BUT this airboat tour is by far our favorite! Opt for the smaller more nimble 6 passenger airboat. Absolutely a Blast!! I just can’t say enough good things about this tour. Try it! You will not be disappointed.
Pretty good tour. If we hadn't needed to eat lunch, I think the amount of time at Oak Valley would have been fine, but we didn't get to see everything. I recommend some motion sickness meds if you're sensitive to waves/water - the boat tour was pretty wild!
