What to Expect
Day 1: Delhi arrival and city tour

9:00am - Pick-up from the airport or your hotel in Delhi and proceed on a sightseeing tour in New Delhi.

After a provided lunch around 1:00pm, you'll move to the Qutab Minar Tower. The tower was built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206. Proceed onwards to the India Gate, a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan War. You'll also drive past the grand government buildings, including the President’s House and Parliament House.

Overnight: 4-Star Hotels.

Day 2: Delhi to Agra by train and Agra to Jaipur by car

You'll start your day early, around 5:20am, with a transfer to the New Delhi Railway Station for a 6:00am departure to Agra. Breakfast will be served on board during your 2-hour journey, so you have plenty of time to enjoy the countryside. When you arrive at Agra, you will be met by your driver at the main exit gate (look for the person holding a sign of your name). From there, you'll transfer to your hotel for a quick refresh, and also to meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby.

You will then travel to the Taj Mahal (a UNESCO World Heritage site). This is the world's best-known tomb, and stands testimony to the timeless love story of the 17th century Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan and his queen Mumtaz Mahal (the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday).

After your visit, you'll transfer to another UNESCO World Heritage site, the Agra Fort. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, this huge fort is made of red sandstone and stands as a sister monument to the Taj Mahal.

After a provided lunch, you'll start your journey to Jaipur. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this "pink city" is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa – Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. En route to Jaipur, you'll (optional) visit Fatehpur Sikri, which has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town.”

Overnight: 4 Star Hotels.

Day 3: Jaipur sightseeing and return drive to Delhi

With an 8:00am start time, you'll visit the Amber Fort, which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan until Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727 and even ascend the imposing fort on a decorated painted elephant. Afterwards, have a brief photo stop at Hawa Mahal, built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

At around 11:00am, head to the City Palace, the principle residence of the ruling family known for its stunning architecture, and Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory nearby that was raised in the 18th century. Then, it'll be time for lunch at a local restaurant. If time permits, you'll be able to witness the creation of handwoven carpets and textiles (a cottage industry of this region).
