  • From Nazca: 35-Minute Flight Over Nazca Lines

    1. From Nazca: 35-Minute Flight Over Nazca Lines

After pickup from your hotel in Nazca, transfer to the Nazca aerodrome. Meet your representative and go to the check-in zone to wait for your flight. You will be briefed on the nature of your tour and on safety instructions. The flight will last 35-minutes and you will see 12 of the most representative figures drawn on the stony surface on the Nazca desert. Look out for representations of animals and stylized plants, distributed in a huge labyrinth of lines, trapezes, and triangles which have been perserved for almost 2,000 years. The Nazca Lines are some of the most incredible remains from an ancient culture. These designs, some as long as 500 meters, can be truly appreciated from the sky at an altitude of 1,500 feet. Fly back to the aerodrome and head back to your hotel in Nazca.

A super incredible experience and a must do in Nazca! The plane does swerve and turn in order for you to have the best view and it’s quite normal... so try to hang in there for the 30 minutes because it is so worth it! Great service and I felt safe throughout the whole trip. I only wished the pilot could tell us more information about the Nazcan lines because he kept repeating the same words for each of the motif we saw.. lol

Lucas was our guide, and was very knowledgeable about many aspects of Lima and its history. The car ride was very long, but we brought movies/books to entertain ourselves. We had a rest stop about an hour of the way in where we bought coffee and ate from the included “box breakfast.” We then continued on to Huacachina to ride the sand buggies and sandboard. After that, we flew over the Nazca lines in a Cessna Grand Caravan which was great except for the 60deg banked turns so everyone can see the lines. Lunch was after that at appx 2pm, and we skipped the wine tasting cause our stomachs were still struggling from the flight. The ride back took about 5 hrs as there was lots of traffic going into Lima. Overall a great experience.
