Nayarit: Whale Watching
- Small group
- Duration: 3 hours
We had an amazing experience Whale Watching! The company was Ocean Adventures and the Guide was Franco Gonzales with Eyo as the Captain. We were met at the dock site right on time and escorted to the boat. We had excellent weather which helped. However, we were the only two signed up for that time slot and we’re pleasantly surprised that they would take us out. They had excellent communication skills and were extremely informative. We saw many whales- females with calves, males and babies. The Captain made sure he took us to exactly where the whales were and explained how the boats can follow. One of the juveniles came right up to the boat!! Lots of tail slapping and jumping out of the water! The company and especially Franco and Eyo were fantastic and
I booked my surfing lesson the night before and got a quick response from the folks at WildMex. They took care of me from start to finish and quickly answered all of my questions via email while away at the resort. Octavio guided me in the first step of my surfing journey. Instead of the more advanced surf conditions at La Lancha, he took me to a more appropriate area to learn that day. After a quick walkthrough on the beach, we went out and by the end of the day I was able to ride over several waves!! We learned about safety, patience, and most importantly.. style! Look forward to riding again soon. Hang ten amigos!!
A very comfortable trip back and forth in the group van. The guide spoke during the drive and we were left to our own interests once we got to the towns. The beach was far nicer and less crowded at San Pancho and I wished we could have stayed there longer than 20 minutes. At least 45 minutes would have given me time to enjoy the beach. There was far more to do as far as shops and restaurants at Saluyita but the beach was so congested probably because it was a Saturday tour.
A great day spent with our guide Jorge, who lives in the area of the tour. He knows everything about the pueblos just south of PV and is doing his part to help the wild macaws in the area. Would have liked to have spent more that 15 minutes in the main part of El Tuito - needed at least, but we had to keep to a schedule to fit in all the stops.
LOVE IT!! This was one of my favorite things that we did while in vacation. The food, the service, the show, the people, the vote ride, everything was amazing. Well worth our time and we really enjoyed it!!
