Best Of Bangkok: Temples & Long-tail Boat Tour with Lunch
- Pickup available
- Duration options: 7 - 8 hours
Our tour guide, Mhom, was very knowledgeable and also had and excellent sense of humour we enjoyed. The Palace and temples we visited were not crowded due to COVID-19 and lack of Chinese tourists so we were able to take lots of photos of the amazing sites. The Thai food lunch was delicious. The longtail boat ride took us past the tallest Buddha which is under construction. Sadly construction is being delayed due to no exports coming from China currently. Mhoma assisted with directions for our return to our hotel and even accompanied us there, which was a welcome surprise. All in all- 5/5 and highly recommend to other travellers.
It was a good tour. Our guide, Mohr, was very good and courteous. We did finish in about half the time, and skipped the royal barge museum (she said we would only see outside), so in hindsight I think we could’ve taken more time at the grand palace and not rushed as much. But, as hot as it was, I’m not sure I would’ve lasted 7-8hours. She also seemed to know just the right spot for lunch and transport between!
Uncle ode( visaroj akarawong) went beyond what was expected of him as our tour guide. He gave us mini history lessons about thailand while cruising along the chao phraya river and visiting wat arun. He also accompanied and showed us around iconsiam which was not part of our 2 hour tour. Thank you uncle ode for an interesting and enjoyable afternoon!
There was a bit of a mix up at the meeting point as we missed the guide who wasn't displaying any obvious sign, however once we sorted it out everything was good. Guide was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Wat Arun was magnificent!
What a lovely day with Mhom as our guide. It was hot and crowded but she handled it all with calm humor. The sights were amazing. The only suggestion we have is to stop for lunch sooner in the day.
