What People Are Saying About Naples
Excellent day trip from Rome to Pompeii/Vesuvius. Both tour guide and site guide at Pompeii were knowledgeable. This was our first trip to both locations and we are glad we went. It was a great break from the church/museum/city tours elsewhere. Due to tight schedule, would have preferred longer time at both sites in order to get time for souvenirs. Provided lunch was only ok but considering the large crowd being fed, acceptable. As with any larger tour group, timing, food, and breaks are difficult to make perfect for everyone. I do recommend the tour to others.
Everything was on schedule. Our two guides, one Italian/British and one Australian spoke perfect English and were very well prepared. The least favorable experience was the lunch, a quite ordinary plain pizza Margeritha, but what could you expect so close to a grand site like Pompeii with a lot of tourists.
The staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we met in the morning. Both guides were extremely informative and interesting, not only about the actual trip but helpful hints and suggestions that made our holiday even better. Our two guides, Andy and Anna added to the wonderful experience of Pompeii. Unfortunately, the weather turned for the worse in the afternoon which made the walk up to the crater of Vesuvius a disappointing one. The rain was forecast for the afternoon so if the two parts of the trip could be interchangeable then it would have made for a perfect day. The guide at Pompeii was also fantastic and I would highly recommend doing it this way as opposed to doing it yourself. Overall, a brillant experience.
Anna and Andy did a super job! We got lots of information told in a lively way. They were very energetic and helpful! The whole day was organized very well and everything went smoothly.
Chiara did a fine job making sure we got the most out of our trip to the Sth of Italy. Paula was a knowledgeable guide at Pompeii. Antonio was great behind the wheel of the bus. To avoid the city traffic maybe there is a better meeting place for the bus toward the outer suburbs of Rome at a train/metro station?
