Koh Tao: Islands Snorkeling Highlights Day Tour & Lunch

1. Koh Tao: Islands Snorkeling Highlights Day Tour & Lunch

Start the trip with a pickup service from your hotel lobby and get driven to Mae Haad Pier where you will meet the crew of Sangthong Tours. After a quick health check, board the modified fishing cutter and chug to the first snorkel spot at Koh Nangyuan off Koh Tao’s northwest coast. Walk on the iconic beach that links the group of three islands of Koh Nangyuan together, and climb up to the viewpoint on the peak of the highest of the three islands. There are a few separate swimming areas with tropical fish, including Japanese Garden as the best snorkeling spot and others where you can just chill out and relax. Head over to Mango Bay while enjoying a Thai style lunch on board. The bay is named after many mango trees that once grew on this part of Koh Tao in abundance. The magnificent Mango Bay shines with turquoise green and beautiful waters that are full of marine life. Due to shallows off the beach and the sandy seafloor that gives the water a beautiful turquoise green hue, Mango Bay is a go-to destination for snorkel activities. Continue to Hin Wong Bay located on the east coast of Koh Tao surrounded by big boulders. There are several underwater pinnacles covered in fertile coral, anemones and many kinds of fish that can be seen here. The water here is incredibly clear and you may be lucky enough to see great schools of sardines being chased by hungry trevally in water less than a metre deep. The next stop is at Aow Luek which is named for its deep, concave shape as well as the depth of the water which makes it good for snorkeling even at very low tide. Expect a stunning scenery with white sandy beach and water varying shades of blue, and Shark Island in the background. Before returning to the pier, make a stop at Shark Bay where you can swim alongside the many blacktip reef sharks or the sea turtles that come there each day.

Koh Samui: Koh Tao and Nangyuan Snorkeling Tour with Lunch

2. Koh Samui: Koh Tao and Nangyuan Snorkeling Tour with Lunch

The friendly team of Insea Speedboat will pick you up directly from the hotel lobby on Koh Samui and bring you to the private pier at Bang Rak. Get helpful information from your guide and enjoy a light breakfast before heading by speedboat to Koh Tao. As you arrive at Koh Tao, cool off in the water and peer into the amazing underwater world from above. Make more snorkel stops at Buddha Point, Taothong Bay, Lighthouse Bay, Hin Wang Bay or Aow Leuk. Stop at a hidden cove in the east of Koh Tao and enjoy a scrumptious Thai style lunch at the beautiful ocean front restaurant. Then it is time for paddling by kayak along the dramatic coastline with steep cliffs. For the more relaxed. Continue by speed boat to Koh Nangyuan which is just half a kilometer from Koh Tao. we recommend to immediately hike to the top of the spectacular viewpoint to avoid the crowds. It takes around 15 minutes to get to the top. Besides the viewpoint, you can spend time at the beach where a plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent. There are a few separate swimming areas on Koh Nangyuan - the Japanese Reef Garden is certainly one of the most impressive snorkel spot. The water is very shallow at the beginning with fine sand. After that it will be a little bit stony because the underground is full of corals, that’s why the water color is so beautiful. Remember to capture the memories of a life time by renting one of our underwater digital cameras. We booked onto this tour after researching snorkelling tours in Koh Tao, many were 550bht but huge boats with many backpackers! We had THE BEST DAY EVER, with the fantastic crew of the Royal Mariblue. They picked us up from our hotel on time (another couple were late and they picked them up later and dropped them off at the pier!!). After a quick information collecting 10 minutes in their office, we were taken down to the boat. We went to the famous viewpoint, they looked after our belongings whilst we snorkelled, the tour diver never left us when snorkelling. He showed us the turtles, baby sharks, nemos! What was particularly amazing, was that he helped my mum (who has never snorkelled in her life), to be able to join in! He took underwater photos and videos, which we are hoping to receive by WhatsApp soon. The food was fantastic, huge lunch and delicious sunset BBQ skewers on the roof of the boat. All members of the crew were fantastic, from the lady who cooked and made our virgin mo

This is the best snorkelling trip I have ever been on! I booked the night before around 9pm for myself and two daughters (11,12). I received instant sms telling me about the pickup arrangements. The next day, taxi driver was there in on time, he took us to the tour office. The trip was amazing, we saw so many doggy fish, turtle and a shark, lovely correl and beautiful scenery. The lunch servers was delicious, we also had fruit (watermelon & pineapple) & drinks. One of the crew members took incredible photos whilst we were in the water, he uploaded them for us for free! Can’t believe how cheap it was for everything included (transportation there & back, lunch, snorkelling around the island, beautiful photos). The crew were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, friendly and organised. We made beautiful memories, to treasure forever! Thank you

This snorkeling tour gave us the chance to snorkel in multiple locations. And we were lucky enough to see a rather large turtle. The Captain and his team were absolutely brilliant. Our safety was paramount all the time. The winds kept changing so the team changed snorkeling locations to keep us comfortable giving the chance to see black sharks and lots of other tropical fish. We had a beautiful lunch too. Plenty of water, tea, coffee and biscuits were available all day. Very highly recommended 👌

A fantastic trip! So many snorkeling opportunities! The boat ride was peaceful and relaxing, with tea/coffee/biscuits/lots of fresh fruit. The crew were amazing and so welcoming. It was brilliant to have the go-pro pictures taken and sent to us the same day. Thank you! Shout out to Boat number 5 with the slide on 30/03!

Great, lots of beautiful places to see Go to the viewpoints as soon as you get there otherwise too many queues Super friendly guide Good food
