Hong Kong: Private Tour with a Local Guide

Your expert local city guide will show you the city's best parts, including many hidden secrets you can’t find easily on your own. On this walking tour will be able to see a lot of sightseeing points within a short timeframe. Apart from explaining the sightseeing points your guide can provide insight into the history and culture of the city and the special administrative region in general. The focus of this tour is to see the city like a local. However, this private tour can be customised according to your wishes. Sightseeing points to visit can be agreed upon in advance or discussed when meeting up. STANDARD sightseeing places we can easily visit during the tour are: • Central to Causeway Bay: The CBD of Hong Kong, a densely built-up area with many skyscrapers • Mong Kok: bustling downtown district with famous markets such as Ladies Market and Goldfish Market. • Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower: Historic clock tower, built in 1915 and part of the sadly demolished Kowloon-Canton Railway terminus, is one of the most famous buildings. • Avenue of Stars: Avenue of Stars pays tribute Hong Kong's movie stars who have helped burnish Hong Kong’s cinematic legacy. • Kowloon Park: Slip away from Tsim Sha Tsui’s shopping mecca into the tranquil Kowloon Park. • Star Ferry: The Star Ferry is the swiftest and cheapest way to travel between Tsim Sha Tsui and Central or Wan Chai. You will get some truly spectacular views of Hong Kong’s skyline. • Victoria Peak: Fantastic views over the city and you can take the historic Peak Tram. • Lan Kwai Fong: The famous party district with a myriad of restaurants and bars. Some examples of HIDDEN SECRETS we can visit: • Shek O beach: one of the nicest beaches • Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens: An actual oasis within Hong Kong’s urban jungle. • Man Mo temple: Man Mo Temple is a mid-nineteenth-century historical building and a declared monument. • Nan Lian Garden: This public park is so leafy and peaceful it looks like an illustration from the Tang Dynasty. • Tai Kwun: Tai Kwun is a massive independent art space in the heart of Central and one of our city's biggest creative hubs. • PMQ: The transformation of the former Police Married Quarters into a centre for all things creative and design-based is one of the largest, most ambitious conservation projects in Hong Kong. An exciting mix of creative enterprises can be found at PMQ. • Hong Kong Wetland Park: This wetland reserve is home to a diverse range of wetland plants and animals, from mangroves to rare species of birds. • Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden: The farm was originally established to aid poor farmers in the New Territories but has since morphed into a nature conservation centre. Please note that it is not guaranteed to visit all the sightseeing places listed here. How many places you can visit depends on the length of the tour booked and how much time you spend at each place. After booking you can discuss the detailed itinerary with your guide.

Boss Hans is the best tour guide we have ever had. He showed us everything in Hong Kong that was possible in a short time. We also had a very good meal. Above all, he has an incredible amount of knowledge about the city and life there. We really saw parts of the city that you wouldn't otherwise see. It was simply fantastic. We had a wheelchair user with us and Hans chose the tour so that my brother-in-law could come along. Hans knows his stuff, even where you can go sightseeing with an electric wheelchair. Not that easy in Hong Kong. From parks to witches, we saw a lot. Hans knows everything, makes the impossible possible, boss Hans is simply perfect. We also needed cough medicine and that was provided too. Simply great. The next day we were out on our own for a few hours, which made us appreciate the great trip even more. Thank you very much for the lovely time.

We booked a 4-hour tour with Hans. It was great. Hans picked us up at the hotel and gave us suggestions about what we could see in 4 hours: it included all the important sightseeing highlights, but also unusual things that aren't in the guidebook. You can also eat snake soup with him.😊. We heard historical facts and lots of stories about Hong Kong. Great!!! We took all means of transport (except a bus): taxi, ferry, historic double-decker tram, subway and of course the great mountain railway down from the Peak, which was very steep. Also a great experience! We can highly recommend our guide. He knows his stuff and adapts to your wishes and personal pace. Great! Toilet breaks and meal breaks are possible on an individual basis! We didn't visit the parks, but this was our express wish and wouldn't have fit in 4 hours. Thank you very much, Hans!

Olivia is an extremely happy person who shows Hongkong the way it’s meant to be seen. Both, the good and the bad. It’s a very very beautiful country and I don’t think I would’ve come to that conclusion without Olivia’s tour. She suggested a restaurant that completely changed my Asian pallet and exploring the streets of Hong Kong, learning the history, admiring the culture, viewing the differences between the rich and the not so rich in all of 6 hours is almost impossible but Olivias did it. Out of this world. I love the country and would visit again.

Very nice and perfect in German. Jenny takes her guests' wishes into account! The 8 hours went by quickly, thank you very much.

Very friendly guide, interesting tour in perfect German. Highly recommended!
