  • From Nairobi: 3-Day/2-Night Maasai Mara Group Safari

    1. From Nairobi: 3-Day/2-Night Maasai Mara Group Safari

Take a 3-day tour to discover the Masai Mara Reserve, the most popular tourist destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley, the reserve is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration, involving over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November, is a phenomenal spectacle that can only be seen in the Maasai Mara. Most visitors will have the opportunity to spot one of the Big 5—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Day 1: Get picked up from your hotel in Nairobi city center at 8 AM, then drive to Maasai Mara Nature Reserve. Pass the great Rift Valley viewpoint for breathtaking views and stop for lunch on the way. After check-in at your hotel, depart for a game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve. Return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner. Stay overnight in a big tent that has a...

I had a great trip to Masai Mara in June 2021. I opted for the Toyota LandCruiser Jeep and was not disappointed. Some other cars got stuck in the mud in the reserve and we helped them out (but we did not have rain the entire trip). The driver and guide Leonard was very knowledgeable and helped us to have a memorable experience. In the first day we had lunch on the way to Masai Mara at a restaurant, followed by an afternoon game drive. The people from the group were split to 3 different camps and I landed at Linciada Camp, the same as in my previous trip. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. Sleeping in the tent was very comfortable. There were Maasai people in the camp among the staff, which added to the experience. The second day we had a full day of game drives, with so many sightings, such as lions, cheetahs with their prey, elephants, giraffes, hippos and crocodiles at the Mara river. I warmly recommend this safari also in 2021, since it never disappoints!

    3. Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate Park Day Tour From Nairobi

Start off the adventure at 7 AM when you will be picked up and driven to the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, one of Kenya’s most spectacular spots. Briefly absorb the panoramic views of all the major attractions in Nairobi before moving on to Hell's Gate National Park. Get into gear and start the 2-hour biking safari around the park. Expect to cycle past a range of wildlife, from large antelopes to roaming zebras and everything in between. This is followed by an hour-long walk exploring the gorges inside the park with a private guide. Gorges are small, thin depressions of land that you can walk underneath.  Travel by motor vehicle to Naivasha Fishermans or Marina camp for lunch at 1 PM. At 2 PM, enjoy a boat ride across Lake Naivasha, the Rift Valley's highest lake. Encircled by verdant banks, olive trees and cacti this lake is home to exotic birds and giant hippos.  At 4 PM, depart for ...

The tour went smoothly, Peter was an excellent guide who briefs you of what the day would look like. He was patient during the bike tour, keeping with my pace as well as when I need to stop to rest or to take photos. He is knowledgeable about the destination and would share the historical as well as anecdotal stories. The bike ride would have been the best time during the tour if not for the uncomfortable bike seat and the rough road! The tour was exactly how it was described. Peter was also a defensive driver even when we had encountered a horrendous traffic jam entering Nairobi. I would book other tours in the future when I return to Nairobi. Thanks for giving me a memorable experience. That’s Peter!

  • Day Tour To Mount Longonot Park From Nairobi

    4. Day Tour To Mount Longonot Park From Nairobi

Depart Nairobi for Mt Longonot National Park, heading through the Kikuyu lush green highlands. You will make a scheduled stop at the Great Rift Valley view point. The Rift Valley system was formed 5 million years ago and runs from the Red Sea through Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. The Rift Valley is an active volcanic area - you will actually be able to see the volcanic Mt Suswa and Mt Longonot from this viewpoint. Then, arrive at the Mt Longonot National Park for your hike up to the crater. The hike requires medium physical fitness and you will climb through the gulleys that dot the sides of this mountain. You can make some rest stops at the designated places on the trek. You will get to the rim of the crater and look into the awesome crater below. If you have the strength for it, you can go round the rim of the crater. Descend from Mt Longonot to the base at the Park headquarters. Re...

  • From Nairobi: Full-Day Hiking at Mount Longonot

    6. From Nairobi: Full-Day Hiking at Mount Longonot

Depart Nairobi in the early in the morning and stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint to see the reason why this area is called the Great Rift Valley. View the Loita Plains and then proceed to Mount Longonot for a 5-hour hike. You will hike around the crater and down to the Gate. The height gain during the hike is rapid and this makes for a stiff climb. Alternatively, you can also decide to circumnavigate the crater rim. The hiking trail features some rest points, but it also includes some narrow points - especially on the crater rim. The total length of the hike up, around the crater rim, and back, is 10.3km. The hike from the Gate to the crater rim is 3.1km in length.

As you hike your guide will point out wildlife to you and you will take two or three stops to cool yourself and take in the scenery. Once you arrive at the top of the crater you can take in breathtaking views. After taking in the views from the top you will slowly descend back down the crater. When you arrive back at the base your driver will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel in Nairobi.

  • Nairobi: Full-Day Mount Longonot Hike with Boat Tour

    8. Nairobi: Full-Day Mount Longonot Hike with Boat Tour

Your adventure begins with pickup you from your Nairobi hotel/residence at 6:00AM. After driving for approximately 1 hour, you will begin the ascent at 6,000 feet. Like all good uphill hikes it will lull you into a sense of false security with a slow gentle rise to the first peak. This will give you the chance to get your lungs and limbs freed up for the second section, which is the best section. At the end of each section there is a rest point where you can prepare yourself for the next part of your journey. You will have started early to avoid the heat of the sun, but by the time you reach the end of the second section you will have generated plenty of your own heat. This hike is not an easy hike, but is achievable by people of average fitness. Your guide will accompany you all the way to the top. The whole tour is only about 8–9 kilometers long but very steep, so that the round-trip...

The 3 day safari through the Masai Mara was just perfect! We had the chance to see several lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and gazelles of all kinds, and a very rare rhinoceros, cheetah and leopard. We stayed at the Manyatta Lodge in comfortable although modest tents which made the experience even more authentic. Provide a flashlight as power cuts may occur. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The buffet meals are good. Georges our guide gave us precise explanations and answered all our questions. He was warm and fun. We did not choose the option of visiting the Masai village.

I booked this tour and didn’t thought much about it, so I had no idea what to expect. But cycling through a national park and being able to see all the animals so close by was amazing! Charles shared all his knowledge with me on the tour and was really helpful with the hiking trails at the viewpoints. I definitely recommend it! And Paul as my driver was amazing as well! Good conversations, learned a lot about the culture and he got me into the boat safari, which was an experience by itself. I absolutely loved the day out at Hells Gate and Lake Naivasha!

We had a great experience with Paul as a guide. We saw many animals and beautiful landscapes. Paul is a very good guide, an experienced driver and gives good explainations on the context.
