Prague: Private Prague Art Nouveau and Cubism Tour

Prague: Private Prague Art Nouveau and Cubism Tour

Starting at the recently reconstructed Central Train Station from 1909, embark on a journey through Prague's New Town to see the many architectonic jewels of the Belle Epoque. Through the tour, your experienced and knowledgable guide will introduce you to how Art Nouveau evolved out of the styles of the 19th century, why it was so revolutional, and how the style is in many ways the birth of modern aesthetics and architecture. Furthermore, you will find out about how cubism was started as a revolt against the popular Art Nouveau, but how they both didn't survive the many changes brought by World War I. Not only you will see beautiful places of Prague you otherwise would have never visited and see details you would walk past without noticing them, but the narrative of the tour will introduce you to a specific era that is still recent enough to be understandable, yet old enough to be already exotic. You will find out about how modern architects and their works cemented the legacy of ancient architecture of Prague and helped to preserve it. This is the perfect tour if you already have been to Prague before and want to discover something alternative, or if you are in the city for a week and want to discover the hidden stuff along with the highlights. After spending substantial time around the downtown area of Prague, the tour takes public transportation for a short ride to a more remote area under the Vyšehrad fortress, where the most daring cubist architecture is hiding in a unique area. At the end of the tour, there is a tram stop conveniently located nearby where you can catch a ride back to the downtown area (the tickets there and back are included in the price of the tour).

My family and I have a wonderful experience on the Prague Big Bus Hop on Hop off tour. I would highly recommend this method of touring Prague for family’s with small kids or teenagers, to someone who has a long layover in Prague, or to anyone who is limited in time.

We essentially had a private tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and paced the timing perfectly. The venue was extremely crowded with long queue lines everywhere. Great tour.

We always enjoy the opportunity of this service. Viki, was particularly helpful on this tour.

I love this way of getting to know the places of interest in a city. Everything is perfect.

Great way to see Prague loved the cruise and all guides
