The staff were very knowledgeable and engaging when performing demonstrations or managing activities. Our kids had a fabulous time exploring and doing the activities!! (Ages 9 and 11). They even sat still to listen to demonstrations! There was a great mix of open exploration time and events. It was a nice, non-stress vacation day. Only comment I would make is that the drinks (water and soda) were way overpriced at the tavern-$5 each! Make sure you bring plenty of water, especially on hot days, to avoid that cost.

Excellent history lesson! Cool old ships and great programs on whaling. Oceanus exhibit is spectacular! Gentleman in the Cooper shed was great!! Prices for drinks & snacks in the Tavern are ridiculous. There was a guy using a power tool on a big beam project close to a little stage. Couldn’t hear the pirate show at all with him using the power tool. Overall fun day & would recommend!

I was very impressed with the facility. However, we obviously came during the off season because there was a lack of reenactors throughout and we even had one chase us out of a building so he could go to lunch. What could have been a fascinating, learning experience turned into so-so.

We went during a heat wave so it was not always pleasant to go into the shops in the village. It was very interesting and the staff are very knowledgeable. .

MYSTIC SEAPORT VILLAGE WAS BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS! THIS IS RECOMMENDED AS A MUST EXPERIENCE TO ANYONE WHO TRAVELS TO CONNECTICUT.
