This small intimate walking tour begins at the historic Spicer Mansion, a 1853 home to sea captains, and now a luxury inn. From there, visit carefully selected sites in the Mystic Historic District, in addition to taking 2 delicious food stops. Highlights include a stroll down "Captain's Way" and past the historic homes along the Mystic River, a slice of pizza from Mystic Pizza, a visit to Schooners Wharf, where classic wooden yachts are being restored, as well as some delicious sweets from SIFT, a bakery named top in America by the Food Network. Walk over the iconic Mystic Bascule Bridge, which raises once an hour to let yacht traffic through. Peek into several local galleries and shops that feature items unique to the area. Also on Main Street in Mystic is the famous "Mystic Pizza", site of the classic 1989 movie with Julia Roberts. Around the corner is SIFT bakery. Listen as your local guide tells entertaining stories, offers insider tips, and shares the unique local culture of Mystic and New England.
