Ourika Valley Day Trip is the closest day trip destination from Marrakech, due to its many waterfalls and beautiful nature, it is a very popular attraction, the Ourika valley extends between the first foothills of the Atlas mountains. About 64 km from Marrakech, the village is at the end of the road, but an off-road (towards Timichi) then a mule track continues down the valley to pass Tacheddirt and Oukaimeden, which has the best ski resort in Morocco and some interesting prehistoric rock carvings. The path also continues across the mountain to Imlil and Toubkal, making it a useful start/finish point for hikers. So, this day trip to the picturesque village of Ourika will allow you to experience some of the beauty of the North African countryside without sacrificing the comfort of your hotel or riad. Walking around the valley requires a bit of effort and good shoes and comfortable clothing, there is a bit of rock climbing here and there to reach the seven waterfalls of Setti Fatma. All hikes are led and supervised by qualified and experienced guides and mule drivers from the local population. Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil. You will trek with a local English-speaking guide, a local cook, and mules to carry your luggage. This is a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top. Make sure you bring your camera; the views from the summit are spectacular. Mount Toubkal 4167m is the highest peak in North Africa, and is a trekking peak involving no climbing but may involve walking in crampons or holding an ice axe for security (November to April). The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but does involve some easy scrambling and snow slopes. After the first day spent trekking, you will stay at the refuge where you will spend the night, and enjoy Berber hospitality. After an early breakfast the next day, set off and reach the summit as the sun rises, rewarding you with amazing views. The views from the summit are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. During the ascent you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, green valleys, and Berber Villages.

Your 2-day adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Marrakech and heads towards the High Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni. Throughout the drive, admire stunning views of the surrounding landscapes as well as a glimpse of local villages along the valley. Arrive at Imlil and meet your trekking crew for the trip, then enjoy a refreshing mint tea to set you up for a day of exploring. With your guides, head out towards Azzaden Valley via the Tizi Mzik pass where you can marvel at panoramic views over the valley as well as several neighboring Atlas peaks. Lunch is served at the top of the pass, so you can admire the views while you eat, then continue down the valley through the Juniper Forest to arrive at Tizi Oussem village. Spend the night at this traditional Berber site, meet the locals and learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy a delicious and authentic tagine dinner surrounded by the peaceful tranquility of the mountains. After breakfast on day 2, soak up the sunshine that lights up this colorful valley before heading out towards Id Issa village. Spend some time exploring then trek to Tizi Oudid mountain pass walking through Matat village along the way. Arrive at a walnut grove and enjoy a relaxing lunch next to the river. Finally, return to Marrakech around 5pm.

Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil 1740m - Tizi Mzik pass 2479m - Red Valley - Tamsoult Refuge 2550m After breakfast in Marrakech, pick up & drive towards the high Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya & Asni, enjoy the stunning view of the villages along the valley . Arrival to Imlil (65km from Marrakech), meet the guide & multeer and then start the trek & climb Tizi Mzik pass (2479m), spectacular view over Imlil valley & Toubkal Summit, continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100m of hight) through juniper forest, Overnight at the Refuge, 5hrs walking. ( Imlil to Tamsoult - 11kms, up 800m and down 400m, 5-6 hours). Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge 2550m - Aguelzim Pass (3650) - Toubkal Refuge 3207m. Today is an intense day, in which we significantly increase the average altitude of the trek. Ahead of us we have the demanding ascent to the Aguelzim pass at 3450 m. The ascent is long but progressive. Once on the pass we will be able to admire the summit of Toubkal. We then descend towards the Toubkal base camp, at 3200 m. Walking time: 6h30. ( Tamsoult to Toubkal Refuge - 10 kms, up 1200m, down 300m, 6 hours ) Day 3: Toubkal Refuge 3207m - Toubkal summit 4167m - Imlil 1740m - Marrakech Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4,167 m) from where, clouds allowing, you will have wonderful views over the Atlas range and the Sahara desert. T hen a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500 m back down to Imlil. You will normally be dropped off at around 5.00 pm in Marrakech. ( Toubkal Refuge to summit - 4 kms, up and down 980m, 5 hours Toubkal Refuge - 4 hours, down 1400m, 5 hours).

On the first day, ride to Imlil from Marrakesh and begin your trek. You'll head along the Ait Mizane Valley, pass through the village of Aremd and onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. You’ll follow mule tracks into the high rocky cliffs, climbing steadily above the snow line until you reach the Toukbal Refuge. Rest here for the night. On the second day, you’ll follow the southern circle route. The climb itself is not highly strenuous, but scree and altitude changes may make it difficult in parts. Don't worry - there are plenty of views to distract you along the way. When you reach the summit, soak in the 360-degree-view. You'll see the Marrakech Plain and the High Atlas Mountains to the north, all the way to the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in the south.  From the peak, you’ll head back down the mountain and return to Marrakesh via Imill.

Embark on a popular and moderate day hike just outside of Marrakesh, ascending and descending almost 900m. Take in panoramic views of the Imlil and Imnane Valleys from several points along the route. After your early morning pickup from your hotel in the city, sit back and relax on the 64-kilometer ride towards the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive at the village of Imlil (1,740m), the starting point of your hike. Head up the Tamatert Valley to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass (2,280m) via the Berber villages of Ait Souka and Tamatert. From the pass, head into the Moroccan pine forest and pick up a trail that leads to the summit of the mighty Adrar Talamrout (2,600m). At the summit of Adrar Talamrout, take your time to marvel at the view of the Imenane Valley and the Berber villages of Amskere and Ikkiss sprawling beneath you, before beginning your descent back to Imlil. Enjoy a lunch break on your way down, and a relaxed drop off back in Marrakesh.

After about 30 minutes drive from we will reach Anima gardens ( Andre Heller Garden ) a place with hundreds of botanical influences from around the world blended together with artworks by Picasso, Haring, Rodin and more.. The garden was created by the artist Andre Heller and contains a variety of exclusive artworks that fill the enormous botanical garden with vivid colors. After the visit of the Anima Garden, we will enjoy a nice drive through Asni Valley for an hour until we reach Imlil village which is a relatively new creation. It was created to cater for the number of tourists pouring through en route to Toubkal: Morocco's Atlas Mountains highest peak (4,167m). It is certainly beautiful with much to catch the eye and mind. The mountain mass of Toubkal dominates the southern skyline. Berber villages abound as well as their intricate farming systems. This valley is very popular and visited by many tourists. There are many affordable activities to enjoy there. Such as a trek to Toubkal Summit. A kasbah style hotel (called "The Kasbah") is located towards the head of the valley. It sits on a rocky outcrop that gives commanding panoramic views to South mountains and Berber communities from all other directions. Having lunch here offers not only Moroccan delicious food but also, an opportunity to relax amid wonderful scenery. Many stops are made in order to take pictures in grand views and sights as well as to communcate with Berbers. We Will also take you for 2 hours walks as part of your trip to see more villages and the area small waterfall. Lunch will be taken in a Berber restaurant with a scenetic mountainous view. On our way back to Marrakech you will have the opportunity to stop at Argan cooperative to have an idea about the medical herbs and Argan products that local people use for skin care.

Get picked up at your hotel in Marrakech in the morning and set out on a scenic 45-minute drive towards the Agafay desert. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the serene expanse of the desert on a camel ride. Transitioning into late morning, your exploration leads to Asni town, a cultural gem nestled amidst the mountains. Visit a local women's cooperative for a delightful breakfast and a glimpse into local traditions and crafts. Continue towards Imlil town, where the towering Atlas Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop. Embark on a hiking adventure to discover the mesmerizing waterfalls, their cascading beauty weaving seamlessly into the natural tapestry of the surroundings. Next, sit down to a traditional Berber lunch. Experience the flavors of the region and get a glimpse into the daily lives of the Berber people. (From Marrakech: Agafay desert camp Sunset With Dinner show Camel Ride) Enjoy the stunning sunset and night sky while enjoying a magical dinner in the Agafai Desert. Pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakesh with a transfer, then head to the Agafai Desert, just 40 minutes outside the city. You don't need to travel to the desert to watch a desert sunset. Reach the stunning stone desert and enjoy the scenery and scenery of the Atlas Mountains including our first stop near Takerkoust for a welcome cup of tea with local herbs. Then take stunning photos of the surrounding area including the landscape of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. After that, we will continue the 20-minute drive to the middle of the Desert Agafay, and you will be invited to take a camel ride to watch the sunset at the camp where we will sit in a comfortable tent to start our sunset meal. Savor a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner with fire show, Berber show and music and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere as the sun sets and the night sets. Look up at the stars and immerse yourself in the beauty of the desert landscape.
