definitely a unique experience. left on December 27, picked up at the village, travel of about 3 hours to the monastery, after the checks we were introduced to the guide, 3 Bedouin boys very attentive to keep the group and help you with any need, we started to climb. we were also provided with torches for those who did not have them, every 30 minutes stop in a Bedouin hut to rest and drink tea or coffee. the last stretch is really challenging, then waiting for the dawn. challenging climb, I definitely recommend suitable and technical clothing, a change of clothes to do at the last stop because you arrive sweaty, even if you climb slowly but at the top it is cold, with 3 euros you can rent a tire that protects you from the cold while waiting. going down with the sun you will realize where you have climbed in the dark, impressive. not suitable for small children or the elderly. there is the possibility of climbing up to a certain point with camels for a fee.

If you are coming to Sharm El-Sheikh you should definitely book this trip. It's an amazing experience. The way up is challenging but worth it. The sunrise and the mountain are soo beautiful. Be prepared with warm clothes. Few layers if possible as you'll need to get some off on the way back. The way back to the monastery is easy and so enjoyable with the lovely views of the rocky mountains. The monastery is also amazing. If you are an Orthodox Christian you will be allowed to pray and put down the names of your loved ones. The monk in the shop was very friendly too. Highly recommend this trip. We ended up doing more than 26000 steps.

The trip itself was great, but also very strenuous. I wouldn't have been able to make it up without a camel. -It's very strenuous simply because of the difference in altitude and the uneven stone steps and the sand. -I was up at the summit on December 28th, 2024 at sunrise. It's very cold, wear winter clothes, with a hat, gloves, etc. -However, I think 30 USD just for the camel ride is a lot and breakfast in the monastery was completely overpriced at 15 USD. --It was still a very nice experience. -I would go back anytime!

I enjoyed the trip despite the cold. I didn't have the right clothes with me.

For me all was good and I have to thank you so much.
