Porto Koufo:(1 hour 30 minutes stop) Continuing our adventure, we'll head to Porto Koufo, a picturesque fishing village nestled within a natural harbor. Surrounded by impressive cliffs, this peaceful bay is one of the largest and safest natural harbors in Greece. Watch local fishermen bring in their catch of the day or indulge in freshly caught seafood at one of the charming waterfront tavernas. Neos Marmaras:(1 hour stop) Our final stop takes us to Neos Marmaras, a vibrant town that perfectly combines tradition with modernity. Our first point of archaeological interest is the Acropolis of Ancient Stagera, the birthplace of the worldwide known philosopher Aristoteles teacher and mentor of Alexander the Great. After the guided tour our next stop is the small town of Ouranoupolis where we will have plenty of time to for shopping and lunch before and after our Athos Cruise. Arrive at Strymonian Gulf and after leaving behind the village of Stavros. Enter Halkidiki’s region. Heading south, enjoy the wonderful route along the coasts of northeast Halkidiki and spot the small Kapros island where Olympiada the mother of Alexander the Great was kept in jail. Then, see the first point of archaeological interest at the Acropolis of Ancient Stagira, the birthplace of the worldwide-known philosopher Aristoteles, the teacher and mentor of Alexander the Great. Conclude the guided tour. Your next stop is the small port of Ouranoupolis. From this seaport, sail towards the south of the Athos Peninsula, until the tour reaches the south limit, where the highest point is 2.033 m. From here, sail north, along the western coast. Next, you will be able to see from the boat a mysterious and miraculous place that has been for centuries the center of Orthodoxy. You will find new information about the history of Mount Athos and eight of its monasteries. After our return to the Port, you will have free time for lunch or swimming in Ouranoupolis while you enjoy the amazing view of the Singitic Gulf, Athos, and Sithonia Peninsulas. After a full day of impressions, return to the meeting points.

The program begins with a transfer by bus, to Ormos Panagias, situated in North-Eastern part of the Sithonia Peninsula in Chalkidiki. From this seaport, we will go on with our journey, sailing towards the port of Daphne, in the middle of the Athos Peninsula, from where we can see the highest peak of the mountain, that is 2.033m high. From there we shall sail North, along the Western coast. You will be able to see from a close distance (from the boat), the mysterious and miraculous place which has been for centuries the center of orthodoxy and you will find out new information, through speaker, about the history of Mount Athos and 4 of its monasteries, our next stop approximatelly after 45 minutes travel time is the beach of Ammouliani Island, there you’ll have time for a bit of sunbath, swimming and lunch. The cruise offers you unique moments and relaxation, often accompanied by seagulls and dolphins and listening to the charming, Greek music. Join us for a 4-day pilgrimage to Mount Athos, designed for groups of up to 4 people (the arrangement is exclusively for male individuals, as access to Mount Athos is permitted only to men). Our package includes assistance with obtaining the entry and stay permits for Mount Athos, as well as reservations for accommodations, meals, and lodging in three monasteries over three nights. Please note that the package price does not include the entry and stay permit fee (€25 for a person), boat ticket costs (approximately €50 for a person for all the trips over the next 4 days of the trip), and personal expenses for additional snacks and drinks, souvenirs, and voluntary donations to the monasteries. Although donations are not mandatory, they are appreciated, as the monasteries will provide you with accommodation, meals, and lodging for free. Athens - Gortsia (5 hours by road). Gortsia - Petrostrouga mountain Refuge. 3.5 hours hiking. Elevation: 1100m – 1950m. First day of hiking! Ascent through a beautiful forest of pine and beech trees, with many balconies overlooking the Aegean Sea! We reach the first overnight official mountain refuge with dormitories, on the slopes of Olympus, from where Mount Athos, the 'Inaccessible' of Greece, is visible! -Day 2. Petrostrouga - Plateau of the Muses - Highest peak Mytikas. 5.5 hours. Elevation: 1950m – 2918m - 2760m. We ascend to the legendary plateau of the Muses, where we see all the peaks of Olympus and also the Throne of Zeus, the peak Stefani! After a break, we climb to Mytikas, the highest peak in Greece! For this ascent, your guide will use safety ropes as it is a quite difficult and steep climb. Anyone who prefers not to make this ascent can wait at the refuge on the plateau of the Muses. We return for overnight stay at the plateau of the Muses! -Day 3. Plateau of the Muses - Spilios Agapitos - Prionia. 5.5 hours. Elevation: 2760m – 2100m - 1100m. After witnessing one of the most beautiful sunrises from our ascent to the peak of Prophet Elias, where the tallest chapel in Greece stands, we begin our descent into the heart of the mountain, at the location of Prionia, passing through the refuge of Spilios Agapitos. The path is now wooded with firs, a variety of pine that grows in the mountains of Greece, and towards the end, we will encounter deciduous beech trees. From there, we take the car back to Athens.
